LS3 C6 vs E63 AMG BiTurbo Buddy of mine just picked up a '13 E63 with the 5.5 BiTurbo. The car does not have the Performance Package which to my understanding would have bumped the power from 518/516 to 550/590. I've always read that the snails muted the car a bit, but the exhaust note is still freaking glorious. I wish my Vette sounded that good.
Drove the car and was positive that it would humiliate my poor Vette per my butt dyno. The Vette is an 08 with Z51 and 3 pedals, bone stock.
Did a few runs (sorry no vids) - mostly 60mph-110mph, a few from 40mph-110mph. The AMG was always in Sport+ and would hold either 2nd or 3rd at 4000rpm-ish.
The Vette actually came out on top - the AMG was always at my rear bumper. Guess my butt dyno is broken. Buddy didn't want to go any faster, but I wonder if at 130-150mph the AMG would come back and roll by me.
Old Vette still has it I guess. The E63 with PP would have destroyed me as that traps in the low 120s. A tune on one of these cars will give them just under 600whp and 700wtq I believe. Yeah.
Overall it's a freaking sick car, if I had $100k sitting around it'd be tough not to pick one up as a DD.

Lol if this was the 2014 with AWD especially the 2014 S model I would get bloody murdered everywhere.
Looking at online specs a '12-'13 E63 non-PP should run similar times as an LS3 Vette from a stop (around low 4 sec), next time I see him I'll try to get him to do some dig races. The AMG has no traction in 1st gear at all lol.

If I were made of money I'd be in a h/c Z06...yes...Yes sir it is bloody insane what that luxurious tank can do!

True! Just don't know how long my car will last with that much more power, I'd probably build the engine/tranny/rear end just to sleep at night lol
