Nice setup! If I could do it over I'd go with a 12 bolt SRA kit myself. I've got at least 3500 into my rearend already and it's only good to probably 800rwhp at the strip reliably. I'll find out exactly what my setup is capable of at the track this spring, figure it should be good for consistent 1.5 60' times on street tires (if you can call Direzza ZII tires 'street tires').

Good buy! I toyed with the idea of getting a GTO way back in the day (before they had the LS2), and drove an LS1 6spd version. Great car overall, best interior to ever go in an American car at that point (even though it really isn't an "American" car 
). I think if it had been an LS2 6spd that I drove, I probably would have bought it. Good luck with the car, post pics!

Freaking ridiculous!! The stock ls2 intakes are pretty restrictive, tires/gears/intake and you have a pretty stout car on your hands!
I got tired of the cost of parts, so I made all my own ****.
Absolutley Love the interior, but god there so heavy. The seats are 62# each iirc. I literally just weighed mine, and it weighs #3340 with the iron block and full interior, I lost 200# with the rear swap!

They are heavy. Are there any braces or anything under the car that it can live without, to drop weight?

Thanks bud, the LS2 is a different machine completely. I've had two LS1 GTOs way back when, and neither of them where very impressive imo. The auto took full exhaust, intake, tune, and DRs to run high 12s at 108-109. I'm sure a stall and cam would've done wonders for it, but still..high 12s is pretty much what this LS2 "could" do as it sits.

Luckily its got an intake already, but yea the parts are pricey. Hell, I've been looking all night for OEM headlight assemblies and can't find any for less than $300 each. Its got angel eye/halo lights on it now. They look good, but just don't put off much light. Not for my bad eyes anyway.

Good! I'm going to get started on that list first thing in the morning actually. Def want to leave the interior alone (with the exception of pulling the front pass seat before running). I'll leave the bumper supports alone too, but all that other crap is going to vanish.

Damn, thats light. If you get a chance and don't mind I'd love to get your weight reduction list. That alone is worth a hell of a lot more gain than headers and all that stuff will give in acceleration. I still plan on doing headers, etc...but being able to drop that much weight would be nice in the meantime

I never ran mine at its lowest weight. I ran it with an iron block and full interior on factory wheels/street tires with an auto.
I was 3630 that day, made 443whp, and ran 11.47 at 120.02 with a 1.71 60. That was NOT a dialed in pass. Hell it was on street tires (sumitomos) lol
