I don't have an entry in this challenge.. I was looking for something to beat on this winter, and was trying to make it something I could enter just for fun. No luck though.

 

There has to be something around

 

I haven't turned a wrench yet, all I have is my intake and headers which I already posted.

 

There are cars around.. just not in the budget I had in mind. Next year I'll buy another car and have more money to play with when I do. The Mustang is probably getting winter tires in the meantime

I might find a 307 Regal and run it. Just for ***** and giggles... I've always wanted another Regal to LS/6spd Turbo Swap anyways...

i really don't know a lot about the 307 olds. are they the same externally as a 350+ olds? what is the bore and stroke of them?

 

I have a 97 Escort 2.0L as my DD. Ugly as ***** but gets me from A to B and great MPGs.

 

Thats all that matters man. Ive honestly came to a point that idc what others think about my vehicles its my money. Im glade you got a dd so it doesn't prolong your ability to work on the car.

 

It's in the same family as the 350 olds. 3.8 bore 3.385 stroke and it's a turd to boot. Most were 140HP, but the HO was 180hp/245tq. They're ******* unkillable, but turds. My mom has an 84 Park Avenue, it's been sitting since 97, all I have to do is charge the battery and it will drive like brand new.

Is it at least the DOHC 2.0L? If it's that SOHC, I'm shocked that it hasn't dropped a valve seat yet.

 

 

Oh it has, and has been fixed.

 

Ah, yep. I won't touch any car with that motor in it from auction. If you have to fix the motor, you just lost all profit. I make sure to get the DOHC version of the motor.
