What's the going cost for an LS7 crate? Not your uncle Rico's hookup in the woods, a supplier any average Joe could buy from.

When buying GM crate **** is more expensive than using the aftermarket to modify or boost an engine, what's the point?

Let's talk about LS7 engineered ****, dropping valves like they're hot.

Bad example of any engineering merit

The LS motors have plenty going for them, but they're not even close to as good as you think they are. Nothing about their architecture is groundbreaking.

You can look around on here and fine ls7 stuff all the time. That's the great oart about chevy stuff. It's not like the furd **** where decent stuff is like finding a needle in a hay stay and costs a arm in a leg.

I think if the valve issue was that bad there would have been a recall. But uf you really wanna talk about **** blowing up look into termi stuff. Lets take a look at you awesomely engineered 30poo block.....

keep yakkin snake . You're looking dumber all the time

I'm making well over 400whp with a engine from 2002......you're comparing built stroked furd **** to it. Yes the ls is as good as i think. And it's alot better than you give it credit for.

If they recalled it, who is still responsible? Third party supplier or GM? Who would suffer from bad publicity? GM may have some suit against Linamar, but GM is also the BUYER that irresponsibly allowed the defective part to be used under their name.

I guarantee Toyota's recalls were from a defect that could be narrowed down to a supplier as well.

Hio, I give them credit, just like I said - the architecture isn't groundbreaking. The fact you want to compare an all aluminum 5.7 debuting in the late 90s to a 60s tech 302 is a compliment to Ford See what I mean? You can't even have a conversation without mixing in opinion and calling it fact

Because it was reliable and easy to work on. It took until 1993 for the LT1 to dethrone it, in STOCK form. Pretty good run if you ask me

before you speak you should look into it codyvette.

504hp junkyard 302. 504 hp with kaase p-38 canted heads.

they are not Windsor parallel valve heads. these are canted no compromise heads, and full porting opens more power. Cleveland power in a Windsor block.
That's not what I call mild. A 302 with conventional style heads that would have came on it, a cam of choise and a good intake, carb and bolt ons. I am sorry you are such a butthurt **** sucking fucktard that you have to call me all kinds of names in a novel response. I have built more ******* racecars than many on this site have seen and drug plenty of *** hats like you in every platform out there. I don't need your bitch *** to validate that. When you can debate intelligently then I will acknowledge your contributions. Until then, assassinate your own ***.

Yeah, TTAs were everywhere. That's like saying the 2000 Cobra R owned the f-bodies of that time.

Didn't Mike and I already discuss and conclude that my old 87 coupe was as fast as his L98? Faster with gears and shifter, but stock we said it was a toss up? Explain "killed" with something other than your personal preference.

Right, and I ran 13.9 with gears and shifter. We agreed stock it would have been close.

So, again, explain "killed" or tap dance around it as I predict.

It took until 2011 for the LS1 to actually have some competition with the new 5.0. Much better run.

What's it like knowing there are some forums that have less members than you have screen names here?

What's it like knowing that my slowest car would man handle your fastest car?

Troof! My lid only A4 LS1 was neck and neck with an X-piped A6 5.0 from a 35 roll lol. The worst possible spot for me. I murdered it from a dig though.

Lol! I was comparing 2 cars with very close times and we both know the guy more than some stranger. We both knew the car, well actually turns out I didn't but you know what I mean. It's someone we know and we both recall his personal experience, and could contrast that with my personal experience.
