P-38 heads are sick. I'd love to do something like that. I've been reading a lot more on YellowBullet lately, once you leave the TOBT section, there is a friggin' WEALTH of information there. Some of the guys are rough around the edges but if you can deal with that, lot of good stuff.

I don't argue much on here in the grand scheme of things, it's just because you lick Hio's taint on a daily basis that you follow him around like a puppy and then see me respond to his posts. So answer my question, are you black? Not gonna address my Hio-Hiho point? It makes no difference if you're black or not, just wondering why that's the first thing you pounced on. Once people take a second to research, there is good power to be made. But 80% of people with a 347 want to skimp and use Explorer GT40 heads (or something with a 175cc intake runner or smaller), a B cam, Explorer intake, and Flowmasters...if they took the money used on the stroker kit and put it toward good parts for a 302, they'd have a 302 that has most 347 guys scratching their heads.
I honestly don't blame GM guys for thinking 331/347s are turds, because there is a plethora of guys wanting to stroke their 5.0 but don't understand that 302 parts will make 302 power. There are threads all over corral where a guy has a 302, wants to do heads/cam, and then says something like "when I stroke it later this year, I can reuse my heads and cam"...daFUQ? If anything, err on the bigger side, not swap 302 parts to a 347. /Rant.

What's hilarious is Hio completely ignores that I was in school for 6 years straight after high school, which left me zero time since I was working and had an athletic scholarship on top of that. Absolutely, Mark. I doubt many of us even have the necessary tools to build an engine from bare block to running engine - that **** is expensive. But hell, even swapping heads or checking a bearing clearance - I bet he'd be a fish out of water. Hio walks around like he knows why X is better than Y, when he really doesn't, it's just his personal preference. He talks about SBFs as if he has a clue, when he doesn't, just has a buddy running a 347 that got beat by bolt on LS1s or whatever.

They can be all over for power. I don't know what Jason's makes for power. He hasn't had it on a dyno. But that thing is still in cam only range.
Here is what your 331/347 is.....a full built storked engine. Do that to a old sbc or ls and you're looking at over 400ci. This is why the 331/347 are turds. For the SAME effort they get smacked around like pimp smacks his bitch for stepping outta line. This is why you see all kinds of sbc/ls swaps in mustangs.

If you mean anything other than an ls1/ls6, then obviously that is true. We are talking about 346-347 motors, nothing else. Find me a couple examples. I haven't found any examples so far.

As I said, 347s and LS1s should make the same power when going heads/cam, Mustang wins because of superior chassis. Bolt ons isn't close because foxes use a head that was designed in the early 80s.

In the case of stock-headed 346" engines, Six Speeds Inc.'s made 471whp and 449whp. Another member's made 456whp, et cetera.
