Should do real well considering you could pull more gear with it. Even doin a pretty small change in gear will give more tq to the rear wheels. Then considering a 7100 shift point the motor would pretty much never drop below 5000....on the 2/3 not below 5200 and 3/4 shift not below 5400. So it seems it would spend way more time above 6k than below.

Hmm.. but but... Mustangs don't need to visit the junkyard to get a good motor... we can do it with the engine that came in the car from the factory. Poor LS guys....
