Default 2017 Camaro ss vs 2014 5th gen ss ls3 e85/ tune only

My first 2 runs. On the first run I totally let off at 140 and he passed me and I jumped back on it lol. Was a very cool guy and 2 fun runs. I was suppose to run a 2016 392 stock chally 8 speed but he took off and ran with someone else. More to come Friday, enjoy.

Did you really just barely beat a stock fat gen? And kudos for flying through traffic @ 140+ mph!

Good to see you are breaking the new camaro in.....didn't learn your lesson the first time I guess?..

Good win... He must have more then just an e85 tune.

You're in Texas. .....there's gotta be a better place ti race than that.

Looks like a 5gen hangs better than a 5br0.

5g did extremely well. To be very honest I believe the guy was not being 100% truthful with his mods but I cannot say. He claimed stock cam, stock manifolds, stock exhaust but tune only with E. I think it has more than he is admitting to but I have no proof.

He definitely hung in better than a br0 and if he is tune only and E I want that tuner to tune mine lol.

Did you not watch both vids in full? We agreed to 140 on 1st run and I pulled on him to 140 and let off, then got back in it when he came around me. 2nd vid speaks more truth and he got the hit (honks) on both runs.

There is more to be had in a tune on thise than i initially thought. On top of that e85 seems to do more than some want to say.

A 6gen has many advantages over the 5gen. Even with a ls3 the 6gen woulda been a faster car and not just do to the weight difference.

Weight drop, lighter and more efficient auto trans, more pah and torque, and better gearing

6G is the real deal

Heavier clutch tho

And since these were 2 m6 cars......well

The gearing is better for those even. Combine that with a shorter tire also.

As it turns out, GM has determined a heavier clutch is more desired by the usual Bumblebee consumers.

5gens have always ran good. Most slow them.down with donks, lambo door, body kits, cam them and leave the stock gear in, leave a heavy *** clutch in them.......alot of the ones that do run good seem to still use the heavy *** stock wheels. But atleast they're not on donks.

So many ways to improve the performance of 5gens it's crazy......very few put it all in 1 pile.

I will admit I'm more of a br0 guy vs a 5g but can count on 1 hand how many 5g's impressed me. Most bolt on br0's or 3 mod br0's are impressive but there is always an exception to the rule.
I am going to run one of my buddies who has a 2013 1le full bolt on cammed and tuned. I ran him in my stock C5Z 3 months back and he had me by maybe a hair more than half a car. This is why I am not impressed. He should have raped me bad I would think.

Check out this 5g I ran about a year ago in my V wagon which was unturned and on an empty heat exchanger tank (I did not know at the time).

Know how that goes. A H/C L99 locally ran one tenth and 1 mph quicker and faster than me when I only had headers and Orx.
