Base should be a solid 10 second car easy.

I’m impressed all around. Like just about everything about it. And starting at 60k is nuts

i think it will fall short of stock high tens. Unless it is way lighter than speculation. I’m guessing mid to low 11s.

C8 looks amazing - little Lambo/Camaro in the back but in a good way - white on red

Price is amazing -

Cam swap, not so much - probably through the interior (j/k)

Affordable too

Great job GM - trading the 5.0 - in a year

I'd guess low 11's at 124-126 stock - but total guess based off power and 3400lbs

With 0-60 of 3sec or less it should get damn near 10s in mag testing.....for sure it will get there on optimal days in the "hands of the people"

I say this because my notch did 0-60 in 3.4 sec at the track and went 11.29-11.34

The zero to 60 makes me think it’s possible. But the power to weight doesn’t.

it will be close. And I’d love to be wrong

Meh.....it's a good time to be a consumer of automobiles. But that's not necessarily a car guy.

It is a midengined car so you can launch hard even on street tires. People have gone 10s with C6Z06 and 127MPH traps.

It has good power to weight.......but more importantly it can bettee control the power. Less will be lost through the chassis/drivetrain. With everything being stiffer there will be little tq loss. All used to just propel the car.

Also the trans will make it faster......unfortunately.

You'll see this car running 10.5s in bone stock trim once people get it on good tracks on good days.

Each brand has a model so readily available in the new/used market for most any budget and with so many vendors pushing the limits and all their data you can literally pick what car you want and know with little doubt how fast it’ll go with each mod

Very little guess work at all - just need some money and pick your poison

I need more money and a 4 car garage

At 3300 i can see tens. Not sure about 10.5 but idk. I was expecting 35-3600 lbs from previous speculation

That's why it's a great time to be a automotive consumer and not necessarily a car guy. It's not the same thing.

It's not just about power to weight. It's a entire package.

C6z went a best of 10.7 bone stock. Slightly lighter car....almost identical power. Not as good of chassis, not as good of gearing, not as gooda traction, more driveline loss......not as fast of a transmission......better aero.

10.5 will get done. Maybe faster.

Also with this much traction now they can finally let the motor go. No need for a massive mechanical torque management that has plagued gm cars for 30yrs.

Their engines has always been more powerful......just held back.

Has there ever been a better time to be a car guy or consumer?

Good point, if a stock C6Z was equiped with an A8 ...

I wonder how much the LT2 is underrated right now.
