Done told ya in the post above gm guys are to dumb to leave the motor alone and just work on the booster and fuel system.

5br0s don't have much choice. That motor is pretty maxxed from the factory.

Stock unopened motor but what does it weigh? I see lunds 2018 Whipple powered GT is running 8's Full weight with a built engine and trans. Either way I am not sure why we on the discussion of shop built Cryote's here? I posted a simple time slip of a SLB 6th gen running mid 9's @ 3600lbs on a GM site.


Jay, 6th gen Mike is running 8.70's with a built motor 2650 car.

My question was a general question, had nothing to do with the slip you posted.

I see these exchanges back and forth and scan them quickly but don’t remember them all so I was curious if anyone with a stock motor has broken the MP record with stock motor trans.

I know Hills car N/A (9.4 @ 142) was quicker than Talleys ZL1 (9.5 @ 143) before blower swap, that’s impressive.

I was curious if any of the current records were quicker than the MP car.
