Not bad at all for the DA 6spd isn’t no slouch even with 245s and still on 87 octane . I wouldn’t see why this car wouldn’t do a high 11 with good air the way it sits

Znix did a couple mods, forgot exactly what he did but it wasn't many. Anyways he ran mid 11s in DA under 1000ft. I know he had a drag pack but that's all I remember. He should pop in and let ya know. I bring his old car up cause it was a manual as well.

Why would you even beat on the car with 87 octane in it? You realize that it's getting a **** load of spark knock?

If GM has kept their knock sensor logic the same, I’m sure it was already switched to the low octane timing tables beforehand.

How much sanding do these things require? You can kinda see where the paint and clear were peeling.

Make all the shine stop shining a feather the clear out where it's peeling. Alot of time the clear has to be sanded off completely.

An idiot put lawnmower gas in his Lingenfelter 800hp package ZO6. Just wanted to make it to the gas station. It blew up. Low octane table didn’t save him. Was told this story by an employee when dropping my engine off to get built.

If you read the owners manual it says to only use 91 or higher premium fuel. 87 octane can be used in the event where you can't find premium fuel to get from point A to B but you shouldn't race the car with 87. The low octane timing tables are not designed for running 87 octane. The ECU will default to the lower octane table depending on the amount of spark knock detected but that doesn't mean it's safe for track day. Mystery 87 could be bad enough that the low octane tables do not have enough timing pulled to keep from getting KR. The LT1 is 11:5.1 compression with very high DCR. That is why it gains 25-30whp on E85 because the engine can not even reach MBT on 93 pump.
