Lifter usually makes a hell of a racket, especially if it's fucked enough to kill a cylinder. Might just be a coil or plug picking a really bad time to die. That or you flattened a cam lobe..

I changed it right after I got the new pump in, I strained it, and found nothing. I also cut the filter open and found nothing there either. It has 30 miles on this oil, I might drain it tonight, run it through a cloth and check for metal again.

When you wreck an OPG, it's very rare to catch it before anything else gets damaged. Hope you got lucky spikestang!

thanks guys, it's still not throwing a code, it just kinda snaps, and pops until around 26-2700 rpm, then it clears up. I think my car knows when I'm trying to save money for other things lol. I will get it to someone who knows more than me in a few days, part of me just wants to have it rebuilt.

pushrods, valve Springs, and rocker arms are all good. Fuel pressure is 58 psi. I might post a running video on YouTube, and maybe you guys can hear something I can't.

I just took that video 5-10 minutes ago, when I get back in the car, I give it a little gas, and it tries to quit, if I would have stayed on the gas, it would have quit.

Man that is gnarly sounding, but it still feels more like electronic than mechanical failure to me. I had an LT1 trans am idle like that once, both of the oxygen sensors were shorted out, but it was pinging and misfiring bad enough that it destroyed the head gaskets.

Have you pulled the plugs Spike?
I would be confirming spark and fuel at all cylinders, then pull valve covers and at least look at the springs and see if there is any visible damage. If not, then I would disconnect battery, ensure computer memory is cleared, and upload the tune again and see if there is any improvement.
I also noticed the dash lights going slightly dimmer when throttle was applied at idle. I would check charging system as well.

I need someone to talk me into finishing my Camaro rather than selling it and buying a super clean but high mileage local C5Z.
