LS1 vs: AWD 3000gt?whos win
I was takin with some ppl in a parkin lot last night when a guy rolls up revs it up and shut off in a 3000GT and his friend get out like a bad *** asked if the my LS1 wanted some...i asked what the guy had.. he said fwd 4 cyl...i was like yeah sure whatever ...so i really wanted to race now since the guy thinks i dont know what the those cars got...well if he didnt rev it up i wouldnt of heard the damn turbos...so i asked if he wanted to put a 100$ on it..so he asked what i had i said 6cyl 6 spd ..then the guy backs out of it and dont wanna run...so i went home with not races lastnite...but do you think i could of beat him from a roll....i have put 3 car on a moded EVO at 150 plus

The best ET I EVER SAW for a 3000GT VR4 bone stock was something like a 13.1 and at high speeds they crap out a little bit due to AWD, note, this ET is not typical and was posted by a magazine several years ago and i ran across it online a while back so im not sure how valid it is.

they are ******* pigs(its like an evo...but only weighs roughly 500-700hp more with a lil more power and torque)...if you can drive..you would win..if he was stock. but with upgraded turbos and stuff liek that..it could be close...but with the AWD the guy has to be an excellent drive to pull out ahead of you from a stop.

ya, i dunno what your mods are, but if hes modded, good luck man, those things are fast. an old friend of mine had a vr4 and with exhaust intake and reprogrammed cpu (maybe BOVs dont remember), hes puttin down close 400 to the floor. later on upgraded turbos, boost controller, 500+ to the wheels. he'll give you a good run stock vs stock, but after that its up to driver and mods

I had my *** handed to me against a '92 VR4...the damn thing ran a 11.22 @ 129 to my 11.52 @ 121...granted I have a stock stall and only pushed out a 1.76 60', he did a 1.56 60'. THAT THING WAS FAST, but we'll see what happens when I get my VIG 3200 and up it to 150 shot after 30# SVO's and my dynotune ...then it should be a different story.

i had minot bolt ons on my 91 eagle talon with just a 16g turbo, and beat a few stock vr4's and at that time i raced a transam with exaust and he walked me , so im sure you could take one.

They are 345 or so stock....catback and lid add prob 20-25 so its close...i prob got 370 or so with lid catback smooth bellow and hollowed out cats..ive out ran a c5 before

if it helps i beat my buddies VR4 that had catback and CAI with my 94 LT1 with minimal mods. i didnt catch him til about 70-80 mph and put about 1/2 -1 car length on him. he also used to launch the thing of the rev limiter

i ran a modded vr4 (not sure to what extent) from a stop. i'd come past him when i got around 40-45mph and then he'd let off. bastard. did it twice. btw, my only mod at the time was a lid

Yeah that was him...I'd like to get him on the highway to see what his DSM can do. I haven't been back to SAR since that night in AUG, I been realy busy with school and work, not to mention my little 3 year old boy takes up a lot of time.
