My new boss just got stationed up here in Alaska from Texas and we got to talking about our cars. He has a 03 cobra with full bolt ons and a 150 shot putting down 520 hp to the ground. My 02 Z28 is really no match for the Puss-tage yet with only 350 hp tp the ground! I told him about my 05 Busa and he wants a shot at it. I bet him $200 that he couldnt take me. What do you guys think?

strap down the front end, and walk all over him, i myself have an 04 limited edition twin turbo busa (just got back from MMI in orlando florida). With the front strapped down. assuming u dont spin that bike is very capable of mid to low 9's with a decent rider, with a good rider 8's arent too hard, is the bike stock?

So let me get this straight...your Camaro is too slow, so you want to race him with a bike? Yeah...that makes sense.
And he's lying if he says it's making 520rwhp with "full bolt-ons" and a 150 shot. I'd be fairly certain it's making quite a bit more than that.

Are you kidding me man? 520 hp w/ full bolt-ons and a 150-shot? I put down 512 hp before I spray my 125-shot on just the blower. But anyways, you should destroy him with your Busa man. Busa's are extremely tough bikes to beat. Let us know how it turns out. Take it easy.

I bet that cobra runs mid/low 8's.

Since your bike runs high 8's, I think it will be a good run...BUT I think you might pass him on the top end. I think he might spin a little, so on the street he's probably running closer to low/mid 9's, where your bike should still be running high 8's.

and as for your bike runnng an 8.984..... i really really doubt that (if its stock). yea the magazines say that... they also say my bike runs a 9.2 stock, and have yet to see ANY stock R1 get below a 10. im not tryin to sharp shoot you, but this sounds like a cheesy story from the beginning.

Theres no way a stock busa will run 8's. The bike will win unless hes lieing to you about his mods to get him to race you.

it didnt come stock with the twin turbo setup if thats what ur laughing about, its two baby turbos, it was a class project in mmi when i was in suzuki, its still down in florida my cousin keeps it in his garage i have no storage up here nor do i have the riding ability to ride that dahm bike lol

What, you don't think the cobra could run 8's?? BONESTOCK 03/4 cobra's run 9's, so 8's isn't a stretch. I trapped 141 bonestock, I would imagine, with 300more rwhp I could probably trap 171.

You raise a good point there Steve. You are running NAWSSSS so I'm
thinking 170mph traps shouldn't be too big of a problem.

I'm thinking about calling out this 9yo girl down the block. She's got
a big wheel that's making a lot of noise around town. I think I can take her.
