Even if the Z does not win, it will be close, and deserves respect for being able to hang with a $65k+ factory car.
You have a link to that Z that costs 40K?

My Z:

2003 CS Performance Edition

APS TT $10K ALL IN w/ exhaust and Plenum

$42,000 total cost

ST is a little cheaper.

technically that number is high... my roomate has an APS ST on the Base model which start at $26K...yet would still achieve the same numbers.

Nope, I believe the 06 Roadster Touring is just under $40k. But thats all for luxury features.

If it happens at all, someone will win and someone will post.

But thats another IF. I have my doubts. This is similar to the 779HP Mach versus Procharged 408 thread awhile back. Entertaining though.

I think NISMO had the R-tune and S-tune available for like 40K-45K. Thats factory.

Scary what cars can cost over base price these days.

It's rediculous, pretty much anything offered by Nismo is WAAAY overpriced. I don't have a single Nismo mod, and I will probably never get one except for a thermostat (only ones I know that make it).

That price is just for a TUNE?! Not including the cost of the car?!

What??? It's the price of the car. S-Tune and R-Tune are just lines they run with different aggressions, the R-Tune being slightly more aggresive. I know a lot of dealers in the past have tried to sell the Z at that high price by putting Nismo parts on it and declaring it a "NISMO Edition", which is total BS. Dealer was just looking for ways to make more money.
