Default 408 turbo T/A vs. 2 gixxer 1k's...(vid inside)

Well, we went out last night and got some decent footage.

My car ran exactly as I expected. It was hard to keep up with them from a slower speed, but once we got up to 120+ I started reeling them in.

I think my limiter was set to 165-170 or so, cause it kept banging the limiter at around 5700 rpms.

the first gixer I raced was an 02 with exhuast and some type of programmer for fuel, and he's a kick *** rider.

The other gixer was a stock 05. He was decent at riding, but I think it would have been a little closer if my other friend had been driving.

Im definately confident I could go 190-200 in my car if given enough space and my limiter was removed, cause it started pulling HARD up top, just hard to keep up with those liter bikes, lol.

In the fly by's I was going about 155, and my buddy was around 180 or so.

It was hard to tell where the camera was, so i couldnt floor it at the perfect time as we past the camera.

Honestly though, it wasnt too bad. This was only on pump gas, so on 101 oct it should be a different story.

I have the video but its on my friends site and theres too much bandwith when I post on these large sites.

Im gonna try to get it on putfile right now, but if theres someone else I can send the link to to host it, that would help out a bit too.

It is still being optomized though, so im not 100% how long it takes to finish.

well, when the car was dynoed in louisiana it put down 845 rwhp and 830 rwtq.

I havent dynoed it here so Im not sure what its putting out, but between crappy gas and shitty air/DA, id guess in the 7xx somewhere.

Did the video work, or is it still being optomized?

ya dont forget my car is prob almost 4k lbs without me in it, so add 2 people and its definately a boat.

But like I said, I started reeling them in after 120 or so, and we only did runs from 70/80 mph and that was without break boosting.

Im not making excuses cause they are definately fast *** bikes, just pointing out factors that makes a huge difference.

Very nice, not a bad death at all. Get some race gas and do a 100 MPH roll.

at 165 it seemed very stable and I had to weave between a car or two trying to play catch up with the bike.

Let me rephrase it.

I think I have enough power to pull off 200 mph.

whether or not I can do that safely i dont know. I have a lot of suspension stuff, pan hard bar, shocks/springs, tubular k member, adj. torque arm, tubular lca's, weld on sub frames, etc...

only thing really left to do is a cage to ensure rigidity, but the fact that my car is heavy as hell might help a little bit with stability at higher speeds.

This is my opinion, which doesnt really mean ****, lol.

Confused....your going to get beat no doubt, but it will still be a fun race. You will actually do a little better than the turbo car I think becaue you will have the instant power of the bottle which )if hooked) will make a big difference on a kick with a bike. I am looking forward to racing some big bikes as well, but don't expect to win. My car is similar to yours, but I have an auto 382 with a little better head/exhaust than you car and a NX kit....hope to see some bikes this weekend if its nice out.

bike races depend alot on the rider. imo 800whp is enough to walk a liter bike.

sweet runs dude. car is a beast

Gixxer a GSXR? If so why waste space by typing gixxer? Gixxer sounds stupid anyway, but hey I guess they think its cool.

Good races though, enjoyed it.

I think you will do better than you think. You are racing an '04 correct? Supposely, there's a big difference between the pre '04 and '05s.

I'm with you on the opinion dude. I don't see a problem bro with your estimate. 200mph, I don't think will be a problem AT ALL WHATSOEVER wit what you've got. You have enough power to get you there quickly, so it's not like its gonna be some long crazy sustained speed.

I just watched the video, and I am too a little surprised the TA didnt do better.

Good ****. none the less

when we were driving, we had prob over 4100 lbs or so with driver and passenger, full stereo, interior, iron block, turbo, etc....

because I didnt break boost it was harder initially to catch up. I need to learn to do that from rolls now.

Plus I honestly dont think its at the 845 rwhp right now, was prob mid 70's-upper 70's and my engine was running way hot most of the time.

plus the car was tuned on 93, im running 91 out here so I dont think that helped.
