My stock 99 T/A vs Mustang GT [New Edge] Well i picked up my new 99 T/A yesterday and I ran into a buddy of mine with like a 02 GT mustang. Mind you that mine is stock to the filter [at least thats what i think]. So we get to a stop light and the light goes green and we go.. I take him off the line and just keep pulling and pulling.. I was shocked! [This is my first ls1 car]

By the way......the longer you drive your TA....you'll learn that a stock GT mustang of pretty much any year....is minced meat for the ol' F-Body LS1.
When they mod the GT's the race get's a littler more fun.

lol....who says its a downgrade...i have 800 dollars in my setup and bought my 01 z28 with 48k miles and fully loaded for 11k....so i have 11800 in my car and im running 7.69 with 3 mods and street tires!!!....ill have another 300 in my stall....getting my cam in trade for some wheels/tires i had on my truck and my best friend makes upper/lower control arms and i get them for the cost of materials which is dirt cheap...so im hoping to be running 6's and spend no more then 1500 after my tune!!

He said he traded it in, even showed pics. The only fun part about beating modded GT's is they are so upset they spent so much money on mods and got beat by a stock TA! Its sad I dont even consider GT's competition anymore, none of em want to go anyway. I was side by side one tonight and he lurched, so did I (my front end raised up pretty good) and then he didnt wanna do anything, turned at a light

its not that i couldn't afford the payments.. its i am going back to school so I kinda wanted to get rid of the car payment.. Each day that passes and i drive that T/A i grow to love it more and more and wonder why i didnt get one to begin with
