nope. unfortunately I have little time to get involved in the car scene or any clubs and make new friends (work, grad school). hopefully next year I'll have a lot more time (and mod money )

 

thats pretty funny - one of my friends had a sonic blue 04 mach 1, other had a black 01 WS6 (both were manual). Mach pulled the WS6 from lower speed, but the WS6 ended up catching (and passing) at higher speeds. Props to the Mach1 for being pretty damn quick on 4.6 liters and 281 ci


*edit - btw, both of their cars were bone stock.....from air filters to tires....*

 

You'd be surprised how much 4.10's and drag radials will help a car go down the 1/4.

 

stock for stock and mod for mod LS1's are faster cars, no suprise here.

 

i found out against a 3.42 M6 LS1 that its a big difference . i can only imagine what 4.10's would do

 

I agree that mod for mod the LS1 is the stronger car. I also believe that stock for stock a 5 speed mach and a LS1 car is a drivers race.

 

I disagree, it may be close but the LS1 will be faster. But then again this is coming from a guy who personally watched his buddies BONE STOCK 02Z28 auto run CONSISTANT 12.80-12.90's@107-108 one night at HRP.

 

my 04 mach 1 went 13,30 @106 with just a off road x pipe , shifter and drs .im going back on friday to see if the 4,10s and filter do

That 3rd race was good but it sounded like the Z bounced the rev limiter once or twice. Also, what was the roll from and too since I wonder if that Z was about to walk the Mach 1.

BTW - Drivers race stock v stock with Mach 1 but still...

 

The Z did hit the limiter in the 3rd race but all races were to 125 mph, that is when the 4.10's run out. The car is my boy Lee's that ran 13.2 stock and now runs 12.5's with gears,exhaust,tune and DR's.

 

those LS1's were auto cars. had they been stalled the vid would have been ALOT different. IMO if it had been 6-speed vs 5-speed the LS1's would have pulled pretty well, same exact cars, just 6-speeds. But nice vids, good clean runs. A 6-speed with the enough to walkmods the maroon car had is a 350rwhp car, easily a bolt on mach from a rolling start. But this is just my opinion.

I can't wait for the cool weather to hit Houston so we can all meet up at the track. There should be a "cammed Mach vs cammed LS1" showdown.

 

wow mach 1 mustangs must be alot faster in other states than pa, every stock mach 1 i seen at the track ran 13.8-14.4

 

That wouldnt be fair to the LS1 guys, they only have 1 cam while the Mach has 4 cams, lol.

which is just over the PA/MD border.

Im no expert but a friend of mine has a bone stock manual mach1 and is also in a mach1 clug here in hawa...

4 of them met up at the drag strip..Two bone stock and the other two with mods Only exhaust and CAI.....

My 2.73 geared auto that dynoed 299 rwhp and 309 rwht bone stock put an *** whooping on the mach ones...

A solid 4 tenths faster and 3 mph higher trapping than the stock ones and a solid 2 tenths and two mph higher trapping than the slightly modded ones...

They all admitted that even the stock auto c5 was outta there league and that they were gonna go frustrate some F body's ( wich stock for stock is only 1-2 tenths faster in the quarter mile based on the numbers from people in my F body club here in hawaii....

Decently fast..Some what rare and nice looking car.....My favorite mustang that proves ford still has some ***** and dosent need FI to be competitve

 

Before any one calls BS...My track here in hawaii is always in 75 degree or HOTTER TROPICAL WEATHER and the track goes slightly uphill....

The record for a bone stock gen 2 Viper here is 12.6
The record for a bone stock 02 Z06 here is 12.8
The record for a 03 Cobra here is 13.2

So the bone stock mach1 pulling 13.9 here is very respectable....And my 13.5 is one of the quickest bone stock C5 times...
