The 05/06 GT's are overrated! I cant believe you think you can beat his Mach. I have raced a couple GT's and they were dogs. They were both bone stock but they couldnt hang. TheBigThree

These Stang owners on this site represent only a small portion. They are house trained. I'm not. I'm wild. Anyway, Here's a slip of me racing an LS1 Camaro. The LS1 is on the right, and I'm on the left. The guy was cool and we was complimenting each other's car before the race. This is at 5800ft and our track sucks as far as prep goes.
The times will shock you.

I don't care who you've raced. LS1's are seriously overratted. You will be a thing of the past when the Boss 302 comes back. It's coming to compete with the new camaro. It's going to be a 5.0 or 5.4. It's going to be rated at 390, probably de-tuned like the S197's. Then we can see what's up between Ford and Chevy because the cubes will be closer. I know I can run with the Mach, but I like Mach's because it runs with LS1's and it's a 4.6 as well.

Do you know what kind of car that was that was next to me that ran the 15.1? Ask me. I dare you. You're wife's Sube, if it's an STI would run in the 14's out here. Camaro's, WS6's, GTO's, Mach 1's and Cobra's run 14's out here stock, though I've seen stock Cobra's run 13's.

Dude - here's my times for my 4700lb LS1 P/U in 105 degree, Texas heat on bald tires. I don't mind sharing eventhough I was ashamed of them and waiting since I've got new tires and its cooling down around here finally. But you just made me fall out on my butt laughing. In this one, I still beat a Stage 2 SRT-4 with new tires, carbon-fiber hood, who turned up the boost and added race fuel:

run was at 7:16pm

I was marked vehicle 823

Results:

Me ---------- Him
R/T - .108 ---------- .441
60' - 2.306 ---------- 2.359
330 - 6.234 ---------- 6.630
1/8 - 9.437 ---------- 9.861
MPH - 77.46 ---------- 77.14
1000 - 12.245 ---------- 12.604
1/4 - 14.658 ---------- 14.922
MPH - 93.30 ---------- 96.31

Left 1st .5974

Heck, bring yourself to Dallas, Texas and let me hand it to ya - in my Extended cab Pickup.

I cant believe your acting like your car is fast You posted a slip of 14.7...I dont care what the conditions were you should be embarassed!! I dont care about what ford has coming out. It took them long enough to build a fast car.(03/04 Cobra) And even then they had to supercharge it. So Im happy that ford is FINALLY trying to compete.
Its time you be quite and mod your car. Come back when its REALLY in the Low 13's

These links give you an Idea of how 5800ft affect your times.
C6 vette vs. Modded S4
Here's an STI time at my track. The STI is on the left.

Here's the mighty LS1 at the same track. This was a sub par run for an LS1. It should be mid to low 14's.

Our track sucks as far as prep goes during test and tune, so you do a lot of spinning that you wouldn't do on the street. Most of you guys would be running 13's, 14's and 15's out here depending on your mods.

14.7 quarter *dies laughing* wtf did you have like 6 cinder blocks and your whole family in your car. *wipes the tears* Dude just shut up defending your "daddys little girl" car. Plus the 05/06 mustangs have a turning radius of almost 2.5 car lenghts with an my stock 89 and a few tight curves I could beat you cause youd hit a ******* tree.

You've exposed your ignorance if you don't know what altitude does to N/A cars. Go and get some experience. You'd run 15's out here partner. I like posting those times because right away it shows how much you know about racing in all conditions. You've let me know now that you don't know much.

I don't know what you had done to your LT1, but you would have been running deep into the 11's at sea level. People have different opinions as to what is a bolt on and what is a power adder. If you had just a CAI and some exhaust work done, with stock tires, I'm calling BS in a big way. If you had some traction and was runnning somewhere around 400+RWHP, then I believe you. I've got friends with 400+RWHP that are stuck in the 13's due to traction. One is a cammed 02 SS(414RWHP) and the other is a 04 Cobra(430RWHP). They could get high 12's if they ran slicks and their rear end was built a little. LT1's run mid to high 15's here.

Okay, I'll ask you. What do you think you would run at 5800 ft? It sounds like you think you'll run low thirteens. Am I right?

You should race at high altitudes before you knock times. You only show your ignorance.
