03 cobra VS S2000...
Well, i really didnt want to, but look at these circumstances...
1.S2000 coming up real fast
2. just got my pulley and tune (2.8)
3. Freind in car who wants to see how fast it really is
4. s2000 coming up real fast
So i see it as im cruising doing 60, and he must have been doing 80. I drop it into 3rd and wait for him to try and pass his moment is strong coing up but he never pases me despite having more momentum and i just start to walk away from him after he hangs for 2 seconds while i build mine. It was fun, i knew i was going to win, but i wanted to see if i could really not let him get ahead of me given he was going faster at first....cant wait to put nitrous on this bitch after some cooling mods

I ran the stock HE while trapping 128mph. It's fine, but it heat soaks
the blower. It sounds like you're getting some bad info.

He prolly was not domestic savvy and thought you were a 99-04 GT (S2K's can pull those from a roll I have heard from both owners). If it was dark, even more reason for him to be confused, but you didn't say night/day, so I dunno. That is MY guess as to why he was at first interested.

LOL, I have to agree with unit. I was making 490whp at 520tq on my ported Eaton with no HE or Coolant Reservoir, although I do have them now with the KB 2.2. I was taking it well over 100mph when it was stock or close to stock, I dont know who gave you that info.
As for the race, only way an S2K is going to have a chance is if it's SC'd or Turbo'd. We used to have an 03 S2000 and its a quick little car but nowhere near a pullied or even a stock Cobra for that matter.

You could very well be right about the 100MPH thing, but like i said, im taking NO chances with this car. its never been over 100 in my hands beacuse im worried abou devloping head tick...scared shitless of that

If that is the case........then I would spend the $150 for the 'head' cooling mod. That should be your first next mod...IMO>
BTW - nice kill.

That mod is required for cobras that were built before a certain date that i managed to make on mine. I hear for the revised heads that i have, the mod isnt really needed so long as u upgrade the coolant tank and H/E. unless your pushing like 16LBS on the eaton or switch to twin screw. Theres a new version that came out that just makes u need to pull the S/C off and not the more complex version. but when i do pull my blower, i will put it on

The cooling mods are only going to keep your Eaton from heatsoaking, its not going to make it more safe on an otherwise stock car. There are hundreds of guys making serious hp without the HE and reservoir. Lol, but if and when you do want them let me know...I work for Modular Speedworx and I can get you a good deal on them.

But hey, do as you wish.....Don't forget, machs ant terminators share heads/cams.

I am going to do it to both of my machs.
