Default Cash or street cred?

what's up guys? i'm curious to see how everyone's feelings are toward racing for money or for "s**** and giggles" around my town most of us race for the fun of it, but every once in while we get some of the guys with the bigger cars to go out and race for $500 or so. it just seems that i never see too many threads with races that involve cash. i like it either way, but what are your opinions? thanks

Before I got busted for Street racing, I'd just race for fun. Even though I've got the perfect street racing car, 540rwhp Stock Ported Eaton that hooks on the street, then I've got the N2o on the tap, if needed.

ive hustled my fair share of tools in the turbo blazer. the average turbo civic, or srt-4, but with friends and most people its just for fun. i only run people for money when they are really stupid and i know i can beat them but they just dont see it comming... of course they think my truck weighs 5,000lbs so......

How long is your license suspended if you get caught racing?

around here you lose your license for six months and get your car impounded. you usually have to cough up about 2Gs to get it out.

thanks for the replies, keep em coming

Only for fun, I got nothing to prove to no one. Nowadays one or two quick runs with a few bro's that I know and I'm gone anymore. When I start to see ricers doing doughnuts in the street I'm definitely gone, they seem to like bringing attention to themselves with all the cop's.

I'm slow... but I've been putting money in lately.. and I can only imagine how serious the hardcore guys are on on the street that are spending big $$$ to be fast + risk involved.

so I can see exactly why you'd race for money rather than fun..

**** I'd race for money now if I could even find someone and i wasnt gonna get wasted.

over here you lose your ride and then you get locked up for about a month. If your lucky they might just suspend your license. I got caught when they weren't really strict on it and they arrested me and then they impounded my car. It cost me all in all about 1600 bucks. Stupid mistake that i'll never make again.

Moral of the story, if you make 450RWHP....******* run cause lawerys can fix it if you get caught for a price, but its worth it to try and run if you KNOW and i mean you KNOW you got the power to get away. if they setup a perimeter to catch you, next time to be so damn bragging about were your gonna race....i know this sounds stupid but lets face it....sometimes those crown vics arent so fast.
