Default New GTI kill by a third gen

Ok I was on my way home from work this morning when i ran into a brand new GTI and when i say brand new i mean it was a dealer car with a younger guy driving it. We got on the freeway and i got next to him and reved at him. He took the bait and honked three times. I couldn't believe it. So we take off from 60 and i pulled a good solid car car and a half on him to 100+. I then let off and hit the brakes. He did the same and slowly passed me just looking strait ahead. I reved again to give him a thumbs up but he wouldn't look over. I guess he's a sore loser. I guess you could say I unpimped his auto...

Im geussing this has to do with the T56 swap and the 3.73 gears that played a roll in this..I like the new GTIs

But fords 302 is a real performance motor, the 305 is a low reving work horse truck engine.

Once agaim the **** talkers come out to say there piece. This part of the site should be called street racing & and kill stories, unless you have a third gen. cause they are the slowest thing ever produced. Right guys?

Its your screen name, you really cant compare a 305 to a Ford 302.....

Thats all, they see it as being childish...

Preston Smith's 305-TPI inspired '85 Iroc ran ten seconds with a Vortech S/C back in the early 90's, and went nine's running a single turbo. I know a few guys who run in the twelves with their naturally aspirated 305 daily drivers. No engine lacks performance when built right...

Good kill. Nice to see a third gen running around. It's tough with a 305.

Funny you mention this kill. I destroyed one last night coming home from the track, even gave him a few car lead. We got a light and I purged right next to him with his passenger looking over lol....he didn't race after that (I didn't spray passing him before)

+1, theres no way around the 305 being a truck engine.

But nice kill, that drivetrain must be a nice step up on the highway.
