Default 445/497 rwhp iper vs 650R bike

Was about to get on the freeway when Ispot a bike a few cars up. So I blow by a few cars to see what kinda bike it is..

Praying that it's not a 1000 im some what releaved when I spot the 650R emblems on his jacket ( along with many other words/companies that I know nonthing about) letting me know that I MAY possible have a chance...

He jumps in front of me and dose a wheelie at 70 mph. And then takes off shooting through traffic like a well sharpened genshi knife..

Screw that LOL..I slowly catch up and motion to go to a safer freeway location..

He follows and we arrive and then I initiate the seemingly universal 3BEEP...

BEEP BEEP BEEP..DAYUM...IS MY PEDAL ALL THE WAY DOWN???!!!

He preceeds to put 4-5 cars on me from 50-130 mph..

FIRST TIME MY VIPER EVER REALLY FELT DOG SLOW LOL...

We go a few more times and it seems like for 2-3 seconds I can stay withina car and then he just starts jogging away..LOL

On the final slaughter after the 3 beep and Im 3 cars back around 100 mph ( while we were still racing) he puts one leg over the side of the bike and then has his hole body facing me ( riding backwards) with only one hand still acellerating his bike. im now 5 cars back at 130 mpg still racing and as he's facing me he puts a hand in the air points at me and then gives me the no no gesture...

Talk about total ownage LOL...

Ive Gteched my car on the OEM tires on a rural road at 1000 ft elevation in hawaiian 75 degree weatherto do 0-60 in 4.2 seconds and the 1/4 mile at 12.2 at 122 mph while spinning through first pretty good and chirping second as well...

I know it's not slow..easily 11 second car with good tires or a prepped surface..

MY QUESTION IS..HOW FAST IS A 650R BONE STOCK??? DID THIS GUY HAVE TO BE MOODED OR ARE EVEN THE 650'S THAT FAST???

my specs are 445/497 SAE on a dyno jet and 3350 pounds ( 3570 with driver)

From what I hear they are mid-11s bikes (give or take)... definitely a good replacement for the archaeic 500R. I don't know too much about them though, but I'd like to go ride one. Wish I could help you out more, but atleast it was still fun, right?

You SHOULD have done better than that against a 600. Alot of things could have been here...it could have been a nitrous 600, big bore kit, or it honestly could have been a 1000. I know a hand full of riders personally that say their 1000 is a 600. Lame IMO but alot of people do it. Sounds to me like you ran into a 1000.

The 650 isnt a lil faster????

If he's only suppossed to trapp 117-120 then he was defiently modded..

His jacket said 650R..So i asummed thats what his bike was..

What ever it was Ill never try again LOL..he blew right by me..

he beat me so bad that 10 minutes later I went to an abondanned country road aND DID SOME SPIRITED 40-120 RUNS TO SEE IF SHE WAS STILL FAST AS NORMAL..Yep still good. But nonthing compared to the bike LOL..

Well that was clearly rider error or a heavy rider. I'm at 155lbs and when I was on my 600 I stayed next to my Cobra and my Cobra trapped 126mph at the time.

Bikes are fast down low. From a 50-130, I was dead even with my buddies lowered (otherwise stock) 2003 600 GSXR. From a 50-140, I am ahead. From a 70+, it's not even close.

I am surprised you lost that bad from a 50 though. Like I said, I am even with 600's from a 50-130 and my car is bone stock.

Up here in idaho R6s run 11.2-11.5 at 120-124mph with a descent rider and r1s will do 10.5-10.8 @ 128-135 depending on the rider and year of bike, i think a 2007 might even break 10.5s with a great rider but must of the newer r1s that drag race are still in the 11's

honorable death, that was a fast bike with a good rider. Sounds like he was modded to pull that hard up top. Doesn't really suprise me tho cause a couple hp here and there on a bike goes a long way.

Dude sounds crazy to me!!! I rode my dads Busa today and it was somewhere around 140 that I decided that buying a bike for me is a bad idea!

No shame in losing to any bike, IMO. Good death, but that rider sounded nuts. If he keeps the high speed theatrics up, he may be on his way to his own BAD death.

I dont think so..Cars trappin consistent 120-122 mph trapps at the same spot my 378 rwhp auto 2.73 geared C5 was trappin 110-112...

I think that guy was eighter a highly modded 650 or he was really a 1000..Not sure since i never saw any numbers on the bike. only 650R on his jacket

Best i ever did at this same spot with the 445 rwhp viper was 12.22 at 121.9 with a 2.1 60 ft

But the c5 would only spin on the initial hit and then I could floor it..

the viper burns out like crazy and you cant get in it till 4500 rpm's in first gear and then you spin some more in second and then chirp third at 70 mph..

These are all Gtech times done at 1000 ft elevation on a street road so I dont think any thing of them other than direct comparisons between the cars ive used them on or before and after mods..

Will be ferrying my car to another island in a few months to hit a real drag strip
