Sounds familiar.
Yeah, I like the ricer sound. I actually lost to the GTO because he was always in front because of the jump. I never said my car would run mid 12's or that I had him. In a perfect race at the track with us both leaving at the same time as our cars stand now I think we would be pretty even from what I saw when we ran the other night. Perfect races never happen though and it would be a drivers race between us.

My 89 must have been a freak of nature to have taken so many stangs and that buick turbo car, what were they called ? Oh yeah a grand national. Something must have been wrong with his turbo.
So you regularly beat fox bodies and a BGN? Yep that 305 Z WAS a freak. Post a pic of your car. I need to be able to identify it and be sure and run the other way in my "rustang" if I see you on the street.

Do you ever go to the strip? ATCO? Reading?

THAT right there shows me just how IGNORANT you are. Once you race at a drag strip then you can have an opinion. Until then, I will give it to you.

SHEESH, I can't believe you ACTUALLY posted that. THere is a HUGE difference between street and track. OMFG......I just can't believe your ignorance on the matter.

I know you didn't say your car was mid 12s.......Can you not read? The quotations indicated a ricer......and that quote had the same mentality as you. ANd you just prooved it again by saying the bolded above.

Going 80 mph and the piece of **** just dies has nothing to do with the clutch. And trust me I have had more than enough experiance handling high hp cars with manual tranny.

Sure thing. I trust you. Did that little gauge on the left indicate F or E?

Yea. Couldn't resist. I guess you have to put up with a few knee-jerk guys every now and then on any forum, but this one is normally not one of them. Oh well.

PLease excuse him. He owns a Supra....You know...1000RWHP to run Upper 10s, 20 minutes spool for even a TT setup. You know.....I am too good for the tracks so I only Highway race, cause that's all the SUpra's are good for.

A Supra definitely would get crushed by a freakishly fast 305 IROC...

But funny none-the-less...

I've had 2 3rd gens, an 85 w/LG4 305 and a 5 speed... It was a turd but it would hold its own against some cars and get owned by others. I did beat my friend with a 89GT with an auto and 2.xx gears. I usually stuck to racing the imports with this car, as many more mustangs beat me than I beat.

I also had a 87 Iroc with a 305 tpi and an auto and got lit my a 90 5.0 with a cat back. When I say got lit, i mean I got the jump and watched him sail past me.. That was another import killer as 5.0 mustangs were usually a bit faster than me.

My 95 camaro was another story though, it would hold its own to an LS1 and the 5.0 fear was a thing of the past. I do like the 5.0's though. They are nice cars and I wouldnt mind sourcing a good example in the future as a project car. I like the mustangs, but dont have a lot of respect for the 1'st gen 4.6's though. When they finally put the P.I. heads on em, the became nice to me once again.

I do agree with the Break out of the 13's before you can talk **** rule though... At least I've gone 12.6 in my 95... With a timeslip to back it up...

PS, a 3rd gen would kill a Fox in the turns, not to mention they are beautiful
Have you ever driven a fox-body? You should drive a 5.0 notchback and rethink that statement.

Trust me man you don't want to get into this. There are multiple threads stating the proven facts of these cars. I also own a 98 Camaro Z28, among a couple others. Therefore am not bias one way or another (rather multiple ways I guess). Please lets not ruin this thread.
