LG Motorsports allngn_c5 VS GT 500
I was leaving Milan Dragway last night and while getting onto I-94 East to head home. I saw what looked like a beautiful Rousch Pkg Mustang GT. I get next to him and hear a bit of a whine (supercharger) , see the snake, and underneath it said GT 500 !!!! A smile came across my face. I dropped a gear and honked. He nodded and on my 3rd honk we both hit it. I was in 3rd and shifted into 4th at 115+ and we went until I hit 140 mph. At that point I had him by a couple of cars. Good race I thought. I didn't start pulling him until I went into 4th then it was all over. Had the race continued and I needed 5th I would've been buses ahead of him. Beautiful car, ******* owner. He flys by and I catch up to him and give him the thumbs up only to get flipped off.
Sorry no video, it was dark and my memory card was full. Not to mention I only got one shot at this jerk.

When we hit it all I could hear was my exhaust note. Love it BTW. I was creeping on him and going into 4th I started pulling. Those cars are beautiful but not very aerodynamic, and too heavy. They sure are strong until 100-110 mph then they fall off. For a second I was worried I was going to get beat again. After hitting 4th I wasn't afraid anymore. LOL.

Stock they're around 440-450RWHP.
I don't think the one you raced was stock. Your car compared to a stock GT500, you have more power (by about 40-50RWHP), and a HUGE weight advantage. You would pull a stock one pretty good. If he stayed with you all the way up to 115, my guess would be that he atleast matched you powerwise. 100MPH+ is where you light vettes keep "floating" by. So maybe he had just and intake and tune.. who knows. I don't really know too much about them. I just doubt he was stock If it was that close until 115mph.

Well maybe that is why he was so pissed when I walked away from him in 4th. He's tuned, with a pully and intake and thinks he's racing a C5 Corvette with a wicked sounding exhaust. Little does he know that I was making 490 rwhp 445 rwtq out of an N/A 346 h/c car by LG Motorsports. At the top of 3rd gear he was about 1/2 a car back. Then from 115-140 I pulled an additional 1 1/2 cars on him. Like I said before had we went into 5th I'd have disappeared on him. Louis and company at LG Motorsports really did a great job on the car. I think she is far stronger up top then on the bottom. Seems to run better above 100 mph then it does below 100. I don't know how to explain that other then the way the car feels. She pulls hard to 100 and pulls harder above 100, especially in 5th gear above 145 mph. Maybe there is something to the VaraRam CAI.

Thanks a lot. I love the way those cars look, now just find a way to lighten them up by a few hundred pounds.

I know this has probably been talked about, but how much do those GT500's cost new?
I'd take a C5 Z06 over one of those anyday.
And Good Kill Align, although after your top speed thread and Fadi duel, I think everyone who participates in the SR Forum knows your name is Doug.
Nothing wrong with that on one of the best LS1 SR Forums on the net.
