Default Killed a GTP

A buddy of mine (BirdmanLS1) let me borrow his Formula for the weekend. So its 1am on rt 29 in Charlottesville. a white GTP pulls up next to me at light. I look over at him to see if he wants to go. He gives me no indication. No rev, no look. The light goes green and he lights it up. i wasnt ready for it, but i get into best i can without losing to much traction. he had about 1-2 car lengths when i got onto it. I passed him at the end of third. We go again at the next light. i hit it to hard, he pulls about a car length away, but i reel him in half way through 3rd. we go agian and this time i hit the launch perfect. i pull away from him hard. every time i shifted i moved another car length. I shut it down in 4th and i had to have been atleast 5 cars ahead easy. I was actually pretty surprised at how quick his car was.

My wifes GTP ran a 13.8 with just a couple minor mods. Fun car with lots of torque! Had no top end though, and the summertime heat would just kill it.

They can be quick, I used to have a cam'd GTP. It takes a cam'd GTP to hang with a stock LS1 though, nice kill!

True, but there's a few bolt ons that will do it (besides a turbo). A good IC and rocker'd GTP can be low 13s...

Cam changes the whole top-end thing though....lots of fun surprising people.

^^^+1 on that, If I let a friend borrow my car I'd be steaming from my ears and nostrils if I heard that.
