Default Grand Prix GT(Modded) vs a 07 Shelby GT500

http://videos.streetfire.net/video/c...6d00e2483c.htm

thats a link to a good non ls1 race vs our little sister the Grand Prix vs a 07 shelby GT500.

the Grand Prix GT is fairly modded. supercharger ect. no it originally was not a GTP

not sure what the GP's race weight is. i think a GP GT weighs around 3400 lbs

for his power he runs pretty fast i just thought was a good vid.

319.9whp/363.7wtq SAE pump gas, 12.442 @ 111.45 w/1.85 60'

HAha, Mustang GT with a little work done would be buslengths behind! Not a bad run at all, while he only has 320 hp that's one broad power curve so a little horse goes quite a way's. That kinda made me miss my GTP...but only for a second.

Nothing like an Eaton M90 bolted to a higher compression setup than a normal GTP. These cars are starting to catch on finally.

ive seen many bolt on 3v cars run 12.7-13.3, so a 12.4 is not outta the ? but either way thats one fast *** gp

haha sorry but 12.7 isnt 12.4 that was not the shelby gt it would have been way back rofl.

and yea the power band in the 3.8 under FI is just stupid. though it has Horrible top end. that doesn matter i guess if you already at the end of the track.

and a 320rwhp shelby gt would lose bad to a 320 fwhp GP. remember the shelby cars weigh alot more.

reason the c6 vette rips the gt500 a new hole with 100 less hp

lol it would take full bolt-ons for a GT to acomplish 320 wrhp, and even then they will always be trash in my book

haahah that was a slick little GTP. Yeah you could make some crazy money with that. For a little while anyway.

I guess it depends on what you call "alot".

This would get the HP:

90mm mass air and cold air kit
Axle-back exhaust
Underdrive pulleys and belt
Kooks long-tube headers
Tune

But RWHP increases and E.T. improvement can be acheived much differently with an S197.

when i only had full exhaust underdrive pullys and a tune i made 310rwhp 320 rwtq, with 3.90 gears so id say it doesent take that many bolt-ons
