Slow vette you have to remember that the C6Z06 isnt fast ecause it's dynoing 500 rwhp and 500 rwt..
It's only got 440 rwhp and 425 rwt on average..
It's fast because it weighs 3100-3200 pounds and has a drag of .34 and 3.42 gearing..
Weight is GREAT for the 1/8 mile...After that a few 100 pounds makes little differance..
Gearing is GREAT for the 1/8 mile...After that it makes little differance and will actually hurt you more on the big end than help..
While an propely driven C6Z06 should be 3 tenths aster than a properly driven SRT10 in the 1/4 mile. This is mainly do to weight/gearing
On a roll race of 70-150 mph it is much closer than the 1/4 mile..Again 200 pounds less weight on a moving vehicle at 70 mph means much less than from a stand still..
and 3.42 gears yanking you down the 60 ft mean less at 70 mph ..
On a rollrace the Torque of the Viper means quite a bit more than in the 1/4 mile were it just hurts the Vipers and causes them to loose traction...
On a 70 mph roll race 480 rwt is your friend vs your enemy in the 60 ft at the 1/4 mile..

the only thing i know, is that i murdered that 01 GTS pushing 460rwhp, 520rwtq, 3+cars from 50-140, and still pulling...

not only have i beat that viper, but i have beaten my friends rx-7 pushing 450 by 2 cars, when my car is making the same power, and weighs 400lbs more.

i have beaten a really quick ????? with a big turbo at 28psi with race gas pushing 460, by 2 cars too....from 60-160
i've even ran an 06 Cbr 600 RR with a damn good rider, from 60-160, and pulled it when that bike traps at 132 in 1/4...the whole time i was 1 bike behind until i pulled him

The conditions were equal yet the Viper trapped higher..
Your so quick to spout off 11.6 at 126..Yet dont aknowledge the 11.7's at 123 mph that a few mags have got with SRT10's..
You dont aknowledge that road and track pulled better 1/4 mile times than the C6z06 with an SRT10 at the same track at the same day..

Now show me one review of a c5Z06 beating some SRT10 ***...there arent any cas it's not even close..But the SRT10's 123 trapp speeds is closer than you like to admit..
Ive seen your top 10 C6z06 list..they are all around 120-123 mph trapp speeds. only ranger has the 127 mph trapp speeds. Yet with your cockness you act like they all trapp that.. Bull ****

oh yeah, i have even beaten a ported eaton cobra from a roll by 2 cars, when i was just getting used to the power of the car, and barely broken in...i believe the cobra was pushing somewhere around 520.
another thing, just for reference, but my friends rx-7 trapped 125-126 the last time he went to the track....
the Z06's 4th gear(120-160) will just eat a SRT10 alive....
can't wait to run the new viper....

Overall Torque @ Wheels in 4th gear:
Z06: 3.42 * 425 = 1453.5
SRT-10: 3.07 * 480 = 1473.6
Viper makes a lot more engine torque at the wheels but the Overall Torque at the wheels is actually very close with in 1% of each other. This 1% variance will remain constant in EVERY GEAR it will not disappear in 5th gear. The weight advantage is more than enough to make up for the 1% variance in Overall torque.
For the record, I own a 1997 Blue and White Viper GTS.

It's a differant day. Were both driving 2 out of 3 of the top american regular production cars. Mabey it's time to just get along and talk about killing europeans..
The C6Z06 is a lil faster and the SRT10 is a lil more rare...Some would take the C6Z06 anyday of the week and some the Viper any day of the week
