Default 98 TA vs Cobalt SS Stage 2 With Videos

He wrote the story everything after the = was my input on it.

First race he gets me by 2 to 3 as the video says. = Correct
Second race by one or two. = Correct
Third he says he didn't launch right but I pulled one and a half on him and held to the end winning by a half and that was past the 1/4 mile still going and had to be almost 1/2 a mile. = Disagreement on some of it, yes it was one of my worst launches ever in my car. The problem wasn't that I was not the faster one in that race either it was that somehow I ended up with no room on my side to safely pass so I didn't.

We then did rolls at 30
each roll I'm at the top of 1st gear trying to keep my power band and as soon as he hit I would bounce right of the limiter which means he won the first by 5 = = Correct
second he got 2 = Correct afaik
Third I held one on him tell 4th gear then he started pulling on me but only got up a half before we ran out of room and slowed down. So I one that by a half. = Correct and damn you ****** had to do the quick double hook like I would after I do the first hook when I race other people. I was never expecting you to use my trick.
Fourth the damn limiter again caused me to lose by 3 or 4. = Correct

We then drove each others cars and had a great time. The whole event made the cost of Stage 2 worth it. = Correct. Was great fun man we will have to do it again sometime.
Oh and when John post the video the last one we filmed we were in the Trans Am and I make a shout out to cobaltss.net

He wrote the story everything after the = was my input on it.

Merry Christmas everyone. I am stock minus a 3.42 rear end and I am on 20 inch rims.

Warning the videos contain vulgar language you have been warned!

Wow, that was some crappy video quality...

I could have guessed you'd beat him from a dig. Racing from a roll is how real men do it .

We went from rolls also. As far as video quality the road we are on has no streetlights and in the video you could see my tag at points so he blurred it out and did an 8 bit conversion in one place bc you could see my tag so bad.

Ya, I saw the roll races...obviously you won.

I drove a Cobalt SS once on a road course during a GM promotional thing for all their new 07 SS cars up in Nashville. It was your typical suck a$$ FWD POS. Felt like there was no clutch pedal and also no power... 14psi was quite disappointing. Probably need 20+ to feel something!

EVO or STI would be the way to go IMO if you're going to go with that mid-sized rice burner type car.

Man that camera guy was a duchebag! If you won by 2 cars it was 1 to him, if you lost by half a car, it was one to him. He seems to double or half it to his discression. What are your mods?

As said above in start of thread. Only mod I have is a 3.42 and tune to fix speedo. Otherwise I am another bone stock f-body. I also have 20's on the car so it would have been a lot worse for him if I would have had the stock 16's on where I could heat them up without the car wanting to go sideways.

I was really suprised how close he was because we ran before when he was stock and I would have at least 6+ cars on him and the stage 2 made all of it up, but 1-2 cars. They are nice little cars with potential, but not as much as other sport compact cars.

I have no idea what a stage 2 is... Is there a universally accepted "this is a stage 2", because everyone with FI thinks they have "X" number of stages.

cobalts are so gay, i mean im a warrantied stage 2 car on street tires and at our local track (only 1000 feet) i have run 8.60 @ 84.5 in the 1/8 and 11.06 on my kumho ecsta spt daily driven tires. pretty respectable in a warrantied FWD 4banger in my book.

we can't help it we are on a dark road late at night that has no lights on the road. the only light we have is our headlights and taillights. either way I didn't record it so it don't bother me.
