So I was on the way home from the track last night with my bro n 2 other friends just minding my own business when this 300zx pulls up next to me n keeps on flooring it n then slowing down n flooring it n slowing down. He did it about 3 or 4 times. I didnt wanna race because I had so many people in the car but everyone made me... peer pressure is a bitch lol. So I get next to him n down shift to 3rd at about 50 n he immediately jumps on it so i do to but he jumps a car n holds it. Now im pissed cause he wnt even wait for a honk or anything. So i finally catch up to him n roll the window down n say lets do a 45 n he sais i dnt race im a drifter n i started to laugh n said you just did so lets do it again n he finally said ok. So we slow down n as soon as i down shift again I honk it off n he gets about 1/2 a car out n holds it till about 115 or so n then shuts down n slows to about 45 n wnt come near me again. Im not sure his mods but u could def hear the turbos n it was lowered but thats all i could get from it. All in all it was a fun night but i know i woulda beat him if i only 1 other person in the car. Oh n all my friends in the car weigh just over 200 lol. Sry for it being so wordy lol

I have a 99 Z28 camaro m6. All i have is slp cat-back n a lid. I ran an 8.74 at 85 last night with a shitty 2.2 60" lol. I think he also had suspension cause every bump he hit the entire car would like jump n bounce all over the place haha

Those cars are pretty badass. Definetly the best looking car Japan has ever made IMO. Although I bet he had a bit of $$$ tied into his mods. Stock turbos suck on those, if you want real power you'll have to swap them out(over 2k right there)

I got my *** handed to me once by a 300zx on stock turbos.. Wasn't the best race, from about 50 or 60, I spun in 2nd, hit third, and bro started pullin away.. Had to slow down for traffic.. I did a littla research, and a stock turbo 300zx@16lbs is like 400 wheel..

ya thats what i was thinking if they weigh about 300 combined that is good for about 30 horsepower or so.

The stock turbos on the 300ZX arent large enough to support 400 rwhp on 16 psi. Even maxed out it wont come close to that.

50 MPH should be a downshift to second, not third. What did you shift to for the 45 roll?

I always start in second from a 45 roll. Thats my best roll in my car. I dnt like to go from a fifty in the first place so thats y i went to 3rd. I know i coulda beat him with less people in the car

Yeah. i'd say it's about a 475 lb difference. That might hurt a bit when trying to race.

Well i dnt know if you read it very well but i said all my friends in the car weigh just over 200 pounds. That means EACH PERSON in the car weighs over 200 pounds. Maybe that makes sense. Read like 5 posts up

yes they are. please dont spread false information, stock turbo z's constantly make 390-410 with upgraded injectors, stock injectors expect 340-360

How about 402 HP and 450 FT LBS on stock turbos/intercoolers, and injectors. You should really research before you spew information.

Specialty Z also made 450 RWHP and 500 FT LBS on a stock turbo car. So you apparently have not checked your information within the last 3-4 years or so.
