Default Stock SS Vs Modded SVT Lightning

Well I drove the dumdumdumdum around a little the other day, well my buddy Paul wanted to do something then so he came up to my shop and hes always making excuses for not wanting to race the SS. Like "Oh it to cold out and we don't want you wrecking your beloved SS" or "Oh the truck isn't running right" or my fav "You better get some mods before you go ******* with a real SVT"

Anyways I talk him into it, but since I have bald DR's he didn't wanna go from a dig . So 1st run from a 50 roll (His choice) 3 honk it, by 140 I have a good 3-4 cars on him . 2nd run 35 roll (my choice) get a massive leap out on him and he stays about half a car behind me until about 100 were I pull hard.

My car: power wise I'm stock, some chasie work, some suspension, but stock down to the Lid.

His truck:K&N, 4 PSI pulley,T pan, Boost by-pass mod, cat-back

Seems like it should have been a closer race. I thought they were faster. Good kill

You roll raced against a truck with the aerodynamics of a brick. Ofcourse he lost

I don't consider roll racing even a win. Just a stupid way to see who's car is faster. Go from a dig or don't go at all.

Well since it was the Lightning driver's choice, it's his fault... good kill OP. They run mid-high 13s stock, just for the record.

i see your times at the track and it looks as though you are having traction issues, cause with those stock #'s you should be closer to a 13 flat, is you're the 335hp?

No it's the standard SS. Reason i'm having traction issues is because my posi is gone. I only have 1 wheel peel.

You beat me to it, maybe one day when he gets sticky tires and ***** ( ) we'll go from a dig, but I dont see that happening, and as the truck sits now he's ran 13.2 @ 102 all day long

Boost bypass should only be done IN THE TUNE.

Tell him to take that **** off and get his truck tuned before he ***** it up. Especially running more boost w/o a tune, he's probably running lean.

Nice kill, he sounds way too pompous for owning an SVT.

"You better get some mods before you go ******* with a real SVT" lol

The quote should be

"You better get some mods before you go ******* with a REAL Cobra, since my truck weighs about 2x that of your car and has the aerodynamics of a small house"

hehe

I like the SVT..I mean..you can get stuff at Lowes and race someone one the way if you want. That truck can put a hurtin on other "sports cars".
