BUT, they DO serve a purpose and are VERY functional at creating massive downforce at speeds <100 mph.
During even the fastest special stages of a WRC event, they rarely even hit 125-130 mph on the straights, and only average ~70-80 mph, but this is on loose gravel/rocks/dirt!!

Its a Firebird Trans Am. Or a Firebird Formula.
Same way a Cobra is a Mustang, or an Evo is a Lancer and an STI is an Impreza.
Difference is Firebird and Mustang were pony cars from the beginning, STi and Evo are nothing more than modded up economy cars. The V6 Firebirds and Mustangs were created after the fact to boost sales, the Impreza and Lancer are the opposite, they started life as cheap transportation.

Well you never said it had a LS1. I figured your 600WHP claim was like every other 240sx driver who thinks their car is fast with the stock engine. Still not a fan of the car at all, but nice powertrain and HP/weight ratio.
