No harm to ride quality at all. In fact it's as good and better because the rear isn't as nervous.

Default tail happy maybe.

mmmmmmmm high priced, heavy mod so isn't it like a too stiff of a sway bar, make the car tail happy meaning no roll just slide, flip like a big spohn drag bar for the road !! http://www.angelfire.com/my/fastcar/suspension.html
this might help decideing what would help,

Not intended for drag racing. I really can't see how it would help, other than possibly make the car track a bit better at speed. And it's only high priced, and heavy if it's not useful to you. A drag rear bar might as well be a boat-anchor for the purpose I use my cars for, doesn't mean that's the case for everyone.

I bought a fay's 2 watts link more than a couple of weeks ago.I have not had the time to install it.I bought it from jim Fray because Strano was out that week racing.I had more than a few conversations with Strano and Jim about this product.I wanted a canyon carver/street drag t/a.
I have koni sa's 4/3 ,Strano hollow sway bars, edelbrock LCA's and PHB,lower perch and hose mod.I have done a lot of business with Strano and trust his opinions on the products he sells. He spent a lot of time talking to me about what I wanted and didn't try to sell me stuff I didn't need.
I wanted my car glued to the ground in the corners and I spent a lot of money on my car in mods.Let's face it this high performance/hot rod stuff costs a lot of money. My feeling is so what. You get what you pay for and every dollar I spent is well worth it.I say spend the money.$650.00 is not that much money in the sceme of things.
Thanks to guys like Strano and Jim fay for their know how and expertise on suspension parts for f-bodies.They know their stuff.

Glad you got one. However, I would have preferred you had gotten it from me... that's how I make my living you know, and pay my bills. You haven't even gotten it on, so time wasn't really an issue, was it?

I ask as a vendor, sponsor, and maybe more importantly as an active member with proven results to support those that support you and this site. Many of us sell parts you can get elsewhere. I'm here because we have an interest in the cars discussed here, and frankly a Black Watts link would not exist if I didn't give Jim my word they'd sell, he only wanted to supply red. I made black happen, fwiw (just an example of how I try and supply the customer the product the want or need).

That's true and I really do love the black. God red would of been horrible. No offense if you are reading, Jim.

I dont think red would be too bad. But then again the theme for my car is black and red so the rest of my suspension stuff is red, aside from the bars and springs.

The more I read about the Watts setup and talk to Sam the more I think I will get this before the sway bars.

Everyone of my complaints about the way my fbody handles seem to be taken care of my the Watts.

Actually I bought my watts link and was intending to have my friend help me install it right away.My back went out and my friend had an eye infection. So this whole thing got backed up.I usually buy everything from strano first.I think I wanted everybody to know that Strano was a really good guy to deal with.
Red looks really cool to me.You know this watts link has been a available for the Mustang crowd for a while. They are just new for the GM 98-02 f-bodies.
Hopefully my back will get better soon so I can install this thing and check it out.
I have no doubt that this thing will be cool and it will be everything that Strano and
Jim said it would be.Thanks guys

your correct, I was thinking of my 85 I put the 6port motor in not the 86 I put the tubo II in.
The thing about the 1st gen is when you turned the rear susupension HARD ( on Pirellis) the little cars would just whip around like crazy. Is that a watts problem or from the cars being so light?

Not a Watts problem.. Could have easily been the tires (probably hard) or a million other things. Aside from both cars having solid axles and Watts links (the Mazda version not being adjustable for RC height either) you are really comparing apples to oranges.

Ask anyone with a Watts link now who had a PHB before, which is everyone with an 3rd of 4th gen f-body and they'll tell you the tail is much more 'stuck'.

Believing what you read is a two way street. Yes, there is bad information out there, there is also good. But if were to stop and think about, and care to understand a Watts linkage you'd see that it has merits.
