Exclamation Abs inop!!!!!!

The ABS INOP light and the Brake light just came on. I know that this will happen when you run diff. size tires. I already replaced the pads and turned my rotors but it still stays on. Is there anything else I should look for? For Car In sig..

Could be a wheel sensor thats dirty, could be the sensor on the rear axle (3 channel ABS). Best thing to do is get a Tech 2 scanner on it and see what code is being set.

I got the ABS inop after I got a smog check but then it went away as I drove off.

Don't know if this helps at all, but when my 94 had the ABS Inop light come on it was because the brake light in the spoiler was burned out.....

Mine is on too. It came on as soon as I put these wheels on so for 1.5 years I've thought it was because of the bigger wheels. I had my car tuned Tuesday to find out it was the drivers side front wheel speed sensor. I haven't checked it out yet, so I don't know if it's unplugged or burnt out.

Same thing here in my old 94, brake light out in spoiler. Never hurts to check the cheapest options first.

If it is 3 chan, the sensor on the differential alone is about $90....

I had that happen after slamming on the brakes trying to make an exit. It went away after I turned the ignition off.

Mine came on after I had the dealer change the rear diff fluid. Brought it back and they said one of the connectors wasnt seated all the way, so might want to just check em all, and make sure theyre free of any grease or grime. Always try the cheap and easy stuff first!

before you replace any sensors, just make sure the connectors are fully clicked into place... I know that sounds dumb, but I had the light on for a while, finally figure out it was just one of the sensor connectors was loose. I think I bumped it during a brake job or something...

That's what I'm hoping the problem is with mine. Does anyone else's brake pedal feel like it's kicking back when you push it at highway speeds? I don't know what the deal is with mine, maybe it's the wheel speed sensor or the heavy 18's.

Mine comes on after a few minutes of driving and stays on. Even if I turn the car off and back on it usually is still on. A shop told me that the scan told them it was the actual ABS module, but of course it was because its a $2000 part. They probably saw a sensor code, get 2k from me to replace a $90 sensor and send me home but im smarter than that. If the module was bad, my light would be on ALL THE TIME

So ive been driving in the rain with no ABS, cheers!

A couple days ago I was entering the HOV on 45 going north from I-10 and just as I came over that hill there was a big F-250 at a dead stop, effin idiot cant merge! I was going 65 and slid about 15 feet before coming to a stop, I would hate to know what would have happened if it would have been wet

Another thing I found on my car is if you run LED lights in the back they run such low current the abs thinks all the lights are burned out which will cause the abs inop like said earlier.
