I'm going to install my intrax lowering springs on my camaro this weekend. Do you guys think I should do the rear hose mod on the rear springs? Has anybody with lowering springs (especially intrax) done the mod? I can probably look and see how it sits first and then I can do the mod, it shouldn't be that hard, but I was wondering if any others have done it with lowering springs already on.
By the way, I like the slammed look. I was going to go with air bags, but at this time I can't afford that investment.

 

I don't know if I would do it with those springs, they tend to slam the car (more than 2 inch drop from what I remember).

 

what made you get the Intrax over other types of springs?

 

I've heard nothing but good things about them and I did searches on how they make the car look, and that's the look I'm going for. Besides, I got a good deal on them from a member here.

What I'm going to do is keep the stock isolator and see how it looks. If is slams it too much, I'll just leave it as is. I don't want to be riding on the bump stops.

 

With intrax springs you will be riding on your bump stops.

Where did you hear good things? I couldn't find anything good about them. You will be on the bumpstops ALL of the time.

 

I've done searches and I didn't see any complaints other than they were too low, which is what I want. I've had a couple of low rides, so I don't mind the change in ride. Everybody's taste is different, so I guess I'll have to test them myself.

I have some very low mileage decarbons (seriously) that might suit your taste, cheap.

 

For people who just want a low rider, sitting on the bumpstops is no big deal to them.

Though what exactly are the Intrax specs. I don't think they are listed on the site with the guy hanging out of the cavalier

 

...then don't install the Intrax springs. That's all you'll be doing in the back.

 

Thanks for the input guys. I'll install them this weekend and see how they ride. If I feel the ride is just crap, I'll just go back to stock and wait to invest on air bags or stay stock. Like I've said, I've had low rides (although they have been trucks) and I don't really mind a bit harsher ride. We'll see.
