Thanks for the interest in our product.
And you are correct, both companies make great products and you can't go wrong with either. I think the piece you are referring to is where the SFC mounts to the rear control arm. BMR cuts there bracket from one piece and bends it while we machine ours and weld it together. I don't think either is a bad design or would fail on you.. its just simply a manufacture preference.
As you mentioned all our products are built in the USA and 99.9% of them are made right here in our Pennsylvania facility. Our Facebook page has over a 100 shop pictures showing some steps of production and our equipment. Please take a look and let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you!

Seems you are ok with 2 points, and that's fine... they aren't as stiff as they don't triangulate to 3 points, and if you ever go with a tunnel mount TA you'd definitely want 3's over 2's to distribute the torque loads into the SFC and not the floorpan.
As for which is better. Functionally if you use the same design they are the same. I like UMI. I sell their stuff, work with them, have them make some things for me, and trust them.

Sam only said that it's not as good to go that route. But as long as your floor boards are in good condition, i.e. no rust then you are fine for the power level listed in your sig.
Ideally you want the 3 point for this but it is not necessary.
