Default Knocked 2 tenths off of 60ft just by changing the torqe arm!

I've been running the car on a bent stock torque arm for some time now. I've had these suspension parts laying around for over a year now and decided to at least put the Torque arm under the car. I went to the track the other day just to go run the car and I be damned if I didn't knock 2 more tenths off the 60ft. (this was in the heat, high humidity and I drove the car to the track) I only managed to run an 11.19@120mph with the car bouncing off of the rev limiter between 2-3 shifts and me getting out of it so it can shift. (Needs a new tranny) My last video recorded pass was in November of 2008. I had good cool air and no humidity and I trailered the car to the track. I went 1.49 60ft 6.97@97mph in the 1/8 and 10.90@123mph in the 1/4. Had I known the torque arm would have made that much of a difference I would have put it on a long time ago.. I am going to be changing out the rest of the suspension parts and brakes and lets see what she can do!

Hello
Yes it is a drastic change in performance! When you go from a flimsy piece of stamped metal to a solid torque arm. You wouldn't believe how much energy you loss and how much you maintain going with a aftermarket arm with weight transfer. And if you decide to go with a aftermarket arm I would strongly suggest going with a adjustable to allow you adjust the pinion angle for better performance. Below is a link to show you what all UMI Performance has to offer!

If you have any other questions feel free to ask and I will be more than glad to help.
Thanks

So you took off .2 from the 60' of the last run meaning you pulled a 1.29 60? Or was the 1.49 the lower 60? Sorry for the dumb question, just trying to figure out the times from what to what.

Hello
The advantages to a adjustable is if the vehicle is stock ride height or even lowered you will still be able to adjust the pinon angle to the designated setting (which is usually -2 degrees) And even with our non adjustable torque arm we build -2 degrees of pinion in the arm itself but (that's on a stock height vehicle) And seeing how there are so many different spring rates out there its hard to say what the pinion angle would be. So that is when a adjustable would come into play. Below is a link to show you what I am talking about.
