Default BMR TQ arm: we hardly knew you

Sry for the large pictures, they are uploaded direct from my phone.

Broken mount <3 Couldnt tell during driving but was under the car and saw. Street driving was too much- Full length, trans mounted, adjustable.

Welcome to the club of shiat that fails from BMR.
I had a PHB let loose that was BMR. Shoddy engineering at its finest.
BMR=Badly Manufactured Refuse.

Sorry to see you have an issue with any of our products.

In the second image you can see where the holes are elongated this is directly due to the bolts at one time being loose.

When the bolts come loose it causes leverage on the bracket and the bracket will eventually fail.

This scenario is well documented here on LS1 Tech.

Ive been using BMR for almost 10 years and haven't broken anything. I had the old style BMR track pack set-up with stock shocks on my 97 lt1 car and it cut a 1.45 60ft. on a 26/10.50-15 ET street.
Now I have the whole Xtreme tq arm set-up. With the Xtreme drag bar and adjustable lower control arms. All BMR suspension up front ie. K-member and upper and lower control arms on my 99SS. I am very pleased with the BMR parts I have.

Yea, those bolts were definatly loose, you can see where the washer head of it has shaved some of the metal away as it was moving around. I've had BMR parts on my car for 8 years and have had 0 troubles. And that's with serious hard launching in a heavy *** car. But, when you start putting aftermarket stuff on your car, you need to check the bolts from time to time, they can/will back out.

The damage traces back to a time when the Clam shell bolt broke and trans mount another time- placing the stress on the item pictured. BRM stuff has beengreat, not trying to call out BMR on anything, just sharing how it held up to a beating.

BMR PMed me right away and called me to talk about what happened to the piece and to make sure everything was square- They've been great. Ive worked with UMI , BRM , Sphoon and we make our own suspension parts as well. Everything fails eventually. Just depends on how well it was installed and the environment its driven in.,

I love my BMR parts! Any person who modifies a car knows to check it over before and after every event in which you abuse your car.
