Default Car pulling to the side

I have a 99 trans am ws6, I have my car pulling to the left and right. I got an alignment, my tires are good, got a new rack, got new brakes and rotors, replaced one caliper that was failing but my car still continues to pull hard to the left and right....any ideas?? anyone ever have this issue?

I should add that when I brake it pulls hard to the right, especially if I am about to make a right turn the wheel will turn all the way to the right but it doesn't happen when going left

i have this issue. all the time. exactly as you described even braking, i just attributed it to the 11/1/2 inch wide tires I guess, but i would like to hear from others as well

I will say I have noticed what you are describing by going to larger front tires/rims

If its pulling hard to the right during braking, then you have an issue in the brakes somewhere. Could be a restricted hose on the left, a failing caliper (they should always be changed in pairs), or frozen pins.

Is it pulling to the left while just cruising down the road? then pulling the right as soon as you brake?

^+1, also double check the lower control arm bushings and that the lower arms aren't shifting around when braking. Not likely(without alot of racket) but possible.

your Left brake is failing because it is not getting the same amount of braking as the right wheel. As For while cruising, I had a truck do that and the Front end Was out of wack.

if its wandering all over the place while driving down the road you most likely have something loose in the front end. You need to check ball joints, inner and outer tierod ends, upper and lower control arm bushings, wheel bearings, etc.

it doesnt do it just driving down the road per sey, it's dead smooth at 70, 80, but it will grab grooves and pull at speeds under 40 i would say and while braking it will pull pretty good sometimes, all my bushings and joints are good so im not sure what it is at this point

you now i was reading the owner manuel for my 01ss and in one of the pages it states that because of the 17" wheels you will feel and notice the car pulling to the right or left.

mine does it when on the highway going 55 and higher. it doesn't really have the issue when driving slow, but when i do come to a corner to turn my steering wheel will turn itself to the right usually if i am braking

My car will follow grooves/uneven road surfaces (17x9-1/2-275/40) also. Don't remember doing that with 16" wheels. I believe toe in/out will have an effect also. Don't know about the brakes. I've had my car stop straight and veer right. Uneven road surface? Maybe alignment is still off. Good luck.

If it pulls to both sides while driving, the problem may be that you have toe out instead of a small amount of toe in.

Post a pic of your alignment report.

As stated above, the wrong toe setting will cause the car to wander and follow irregular road surfaces more. If you can post up your alignment report.
