Default Aftermarket bump stops for the rear?

Anyone make any ?? Wanted to cut the stockers for a bit but I think i remembering a few people saying there are aftermarket ones available. I only have about 1 inch or so of travel before mine hit but I need them because my drivers side one is deteriorating.

Some people use the poly energy suspension ones. I am not sure if they would be really harsh though.

Thumbs up

I just installed the energy poly ones and the adapter brackets from Herron Performance which does away with those factory spacers, with this setup the bump stop is apx 1" shorter than the original setup.

First pic shows new energy Jeep poly stops
Second pic shows factory setup w/white foam like bump stop

^ This sounds like the way to go if you get one more inch of travel.

There was a big long thread on this a couple months ago...

See:

Question I have is: Is it worth converting to the Koni bumpstops that integrate on the shocks??

IMO, running the Koni 55mm or GC soft strut bumpstops on the shock give you more compression travel, and the transition on to the bumpstops is a lot smoother then even the factory Z28 bumpstops.
I've had both the GC and the Koni 55s on the rear Koni SA shocks, and like the GC stops a little better, plus the GC stops are about 1/2 the cost of the Koni 55's.

Are you talking about these? If so, which one, I assume the soft, progressive? You also said strut -- I assume you meant shock version?

Very cool thanks guys. I dont mind a soft or stock bumps I would probably trim them a bit for more travel. i cant trim the stockers as they are faling apart. The 200 lb rear springs do wonders to keep the suspension from hitting them lowered all the way on GCs with smaller spring isolators

No, I did mean strut. The 2nd one from the right with yellow wording works/fits perfect on my Koni SA rear shocks.
A different shock with a smaller diameter shaft would work better with the Soft progressive shock bumpstop.

So you are using the GC ones with the factory ones removed, not in addition to, correct?

Yes, only the GC bumpstops.
