Default Oversized PHR bolt size; can't find original thread

Can someone help me find a thread pertaining to replacing the stock PHR bolt with something that isn't stepped? Both my poly ended DA PHR's thunk around like crazy so decided to get an oversized bolt and drill out one of the holes.

I found this info the other day with search but for the life of me i can not find it now with any search words. I feel like a retard asking...

Thanks!

Thanks Ryan. I've tried a rod ended Pavloc bar and my current poly ended UMI DA and they both drive me crazy. As soon as i put the factory bar back in, no problem. Put either of the others in and tighten them to the point of rounding off the bolt head and its good for a few days at best.

the large end of the stock PHR bolts is 14mm. I just replaced my stock stepped bolts with 9/16" bolts, which is slightly larger than the 14mm. Obviously had to open up the inside holes where the stock bolts were stepped down. Huge improvement as far as the clunking goes.

That is really odd you are having trouble with the poly ended bar as well. Are you using the factory panhard bar bolts? If you are sourcing new ones I recommend the factory bolts from GM or a 9/16" bolt like mentioned above... you just need to drive the one side hole out larger.

Thank you,
Ryan
