Default Best tq arm/least noise for 02 M6?

Primarily used for road racing and dd with y pipe. I've heard the spohn's are noisy. Other chassis mounted setups?

The longer TA with the relocation mount to get it off the trans tailshaft should do well for road racing. My UMI tunnel mount TA is as quiet as a stock setup.

This is what I would recommend for a daily driver vehicle that is also used for road racing. I wouldn't recommend the short tunnel mounted arms for this set up but instead the long full length torque arm.

The longer torque arms will control braking better while shorter arms could actually induce brake hope. The longer torque arm is also very quiet and would not offer any additional noise. Here is a link to this torque arm- www.umiperformance.com/2205

If you want to remove the torque arm from the transmission then we would recommend one of our torque arm relocation kits seen in this link- Torque arm Relocation Kit

Take a look and let me know if you have any questions. Thank you!

When is the shorter torque arm ever recommended? For what setups?

any chassis mounted torque arm will cause more noise. Its basically like taking a stethoscope to your rear..instead of having a rubber bushing to connect it to your tailshaft then that having a rubber tranny mount you have either a bolted or welded in crossmember w/ poly bushings. I'm running a UMI torque arm but I was having issues with the dsl so I ditched it and got a bmr crossmember and it seemed to be less noisy...no idea why but it was
