Lightbulb Anyone Using Adjustable Sway End Links?

I just came across these and wondered if anyone uses similar adjustable sway end links? on a 4th Gen in the front? If so, I am curious -- what's your use case?

$150+ dollars..or just cut/add spacers on a $20 set of energy suspension end links?

I know what I'd choose!

I guess just to get the swaybar level after changing ride height though

I know what I'd choose also, since I don't see any application listed for the F-body.

Despite their big dollar price tag, I think I could see where these links might be beneficial for a 4th gen F-bod. In many cases, the hole in the a-arm for the link, and the hole in the sway bar for the link, don't line up well. With the ride height lowered, this misalignment puts the link at a really funky angle.

Those red "mounting nubs" could possibly be oriented to offset the link so it's more straight up and down, maybe......

FYI, I got an email from Chip at PowerGrid, and they DO have 4th Gen F-Body parts, just haven't advertised them yet... F-Body pics below that he emailed:

If you can get just the 2 end pieces, then I'd just use a female/male rod-end combo and make your own.

Holy crap....seems pretty high.

It seems like those pieces for the 4th gen could be made pretty easily....or if you're just going to set the height once and want them perfectly level you could always get different spacers once and save a ton of money.

Sam sells adjustable rear sway bars but I can't remember how they are adjustable.

I just looked on his site. I think it's similar.

I just checked that out, I didn't realize that he had the adjustable endlinks for the adjustable bar.

Similar but also different in the sense that the bar has different adjustment holes too, and the endlinks aren't sold separately...

I've got the Hotchkis, but I replaced the lower female threaded section for some regular female Rod-ends.

Sam may sell them, but that looks a LOT like a Hellwig bar.....very similar in design to the bar I added to the rear of my GMC Canyon "winter driver".

i'm wondering if you could DIY it even easier - threaded rod instead of bolt. instead of spacer, use 2 nuts (like you would with a jamb nut and adjuster) at each end of where the spacer would normally go. then just adjust to desired length.

Tensile strength on generic threaded rod isn't that great. You could probably get a higher-grade steel with better tensile strength, but that would increase the cost. You'd also still need to buy the female rod ends (not super cheap) or figure out if tie rod ends would work, and fab some sort of adapter up for the rear sway (like shown in the pictures liberty posted).

I'd honestly just rather buy Sam's setup and not need to worry about sourcing the parts to fab an adjustable end-link setup, or, if I was set on a different set of bars, see if he'd sell just the adjustable end-links by themselves.

1A Dan, the linkage between the sway bar end and lower control arm must be flexible. This is why they have the rubber bushings stacked in them. A straight threaded rod or long bolt with spacers and nuts will bend and eventually break due to repeated bending.

I had contacted Powergrid for pricing for our 4th gen F-Body cars. I think they quoted like almost $300.00 because of the adapter blocks.

There are inline rod ends on the market. I bought a set and will be trying them when I get my front end alignment straightened out. For the moment, I'm running without a sway bar.

I have a friend that uses Guldstrand. I am not sure about his exact setup but his Formula also uses the Hotchkis front/rear swaybar package and it handles very well...although pricey.
