Rear eibach springs not as fun to drive?
I put an Eibach Prokit on recently, and it seems like the car is a little less fun to drive with the new spring rate eliminating the squat during acceleration. Seems like you can't feel the power as much..
Anyone else feel the same way or am I just getting too used to the power? I was thinking about cutting the rear stock springs and putting them back on..

I don't remember if it was Wolfe or Madman that said, "Race cars don't squat, girls do."
When the car squats you're wasting energy in suspension travel instead of planting the tires. Do you want suspension that works or suspension that "feels faster"?

I was on a Pro-Kit for about a year...worst year of my car's life. It actually zapped the fun out of driving it! The ONLY thing I liked was the lowered look. My decision was to save and go with the Koni/Strano set-up. Yes, it's expensive, but I kept the great stance AND brought all the fun back into driving it!

Well drag cars definitely do...and that maybe somewhat true but it's also good for weight to be shifted to the rear tires for traction..and I don't race the car I lowered it for looks and it less fun to drive with those springs for sure.
But good to hear I'm not going crazy with feeling like that!

Anytime the rear squats when you're launching it means that energy is used to make the rear suspension compress rather than using that energy to make the car go forward. You want weight to transfer to the rear tires, but that doesn't mean that you have to have squatting.

I don't know about this. OP you're entitled to your opinion, but as for myself I wouldn't want my car to squat. A better handling car would be more fun to drive in my opinion. That's why I am piecing together a suspension setup because my car is still stock and handles like a pick up lol.

Points taken...but one of my favorite things about the car after I put some bolt ons in was flooring it around 15-20 and being thrown back...made your butt pucker. Was more fun. Headers/y pipe/ported tb going in soon so maybe it will bring it back. But still thinking about cutting the rear stock springs and putting them back in

Stock rear shocks, kyb in the front. And yeah I get what you're saying but if i put back the stock springs in the back make it a big difference for body roll or handling? The front shocks made a huge difference

Springs aren't really a wear item, so they shouldn't be old and saggy....but I suppose it's possible (it's pretty easy to tell if springs are sagging if they're on the car).
I don't know exactly how the springs would vary between the two....but why do you feel like you need the rear to squat? Just to "feel" faster?

Springs are most DEF. a wear item.. I race bikes and i cant tell you how many times i swap fork springs and rear shock spring during a season.. On a car if you have worn out shocks say goodbye to the springs..
