Default How much did YOU pay for install (shocks / springs)

How much did YOU pay for your shocks / spring install?

I know there are DIY instructions out there - but I don't have the means to do so for now - and I want to get some KONI / STRANO springs with the sale going on.

Its too bad you cant do it yourself as its pretty easy to do it. I cant imagin it costing too much to do as it can be done by any shop pretty quick. Heres a pic of a friends same combo before we put it in his 95 camaro. Here said the set up was the best hes ever had on a car

I'd at least try to do the rears yourself (VERY EASY). Id say around 150 for the fronts is what ive heard. There arent any other F-bod owners around your area?

when I first got my car I had very little mechanical ability, so I went around asking a shops. I got quotes all in the $400 range with alignment included. I don't know where people live that they get the fronts done for $150 but I know the Strauss here charges close to that just to swap the springs from one assembly over to another if you bring them already out of the car

I'm from Toronto too.

I got them done super cheap by a shop in Brampton. They have a really good mechanic their that has been working on my car. I think I probably paid about $200 or so for both front and rear shocks and springs.

Im from mississauga and as long as you got a spring compressor and new upper mounts it a stupid easy job. Oh and tools as well. You build the new one off the car and just replace the old one with the new one. 45 min or so a side.

Look for someone local for a shop and that you trust with your car. Dealer with rip you a new one if you go there

I paid a shop $20 to swap springs from my stock shocks over to my Koni's (that included them fighting through the rusted top nut!)....very cheap for about what turned into an hour of labor (due to that rusted nut).

The rest is pretty easy, if you don't have the means to do the spring swap (I didn't really want to attempt it) shops can take that part and doing the rest isn't bad and can save you quite a bit of money.
