Default Which SFC's...Kenny Brown or SLP?

Are the Kenny brown double diamond sfc's weld in only? I can't tell from there site. Kind of looking for a bolt in set up right now, whats your opinions with the SLP compared to the kenny browns, they look like about the same set up?

I assume with the SLP bolt ins you can always weld later if you decided to, just grind the paint off

SLP for bolt in.
Want proof of KBDD not living up to expectations? Search this forum for Kenny Brown Double diamonds. Sometime around June or July. Trackbird posted a link to an autocrossing/roadracing forum. (The guys that race competitively) short short version of 3+ pages of debate is that kenny Brown sub frame connectors are overpriced, do not perform as functioned, and since they are cadmium coated, special precautions must be taken to weld them in. (read, poison gas is emitted when high heat is applied to them).
SLP has only one negative aspect, they're heavy.

My 2 cents,
Tony

I would not use a bolt in subframe connector period.

I have Kenny Browns. Work great in my car. Most people comment on how tight my car feels.. even after hundreds of 1.5 of better 60fts.

I do agree on the welding, every car I owned so far I have done weld ins. I was just curious if anyone has bolted in the SLP bolt ons and then eventually welded them. I figured they would be heavy, is there much weight difference between the KBDD and SLP? I figured about the same

Funny as it may sound, sliding a jack under my SLPs and cranking the whole damn side of the car up is nice....

i made a thread like this awhile back.
basically i got something like,
three point (SLP, KBDD) for autocross and road race,
two point (BMR, Hotchkis) for drag.

im going with hotchkis, as ive seen too many posts of BMR stuff breaking.

Here's a little info about SLP bolt-on SFC's, we installed a set of SLP's on a friends SS three years ago and it now has well over 30K miles on them. Over the years this car has been on my lift many times for differnt mods and we always check the SFC's, they have performed perfectly and are as tight as the day we installed them. This might help with the install, http://users3.ev1.net/~cnl1/firehawk/subframe/index.htm .
