Default ???s re UMI TM Torque Arm with relocation bracket.. which one for me.

I am in need of replacing my torque arm on my 99 Z and want to pick up a UMI torque arm w/ TM relocation bracket and drive shaft safety loop. I currently have AHR LTs and a S60 w/ CM 3" driveshaft. Which one should I buy?

Are you running the ARH y-pipe as well? Is it an off road y-pipe?

Thanks for the reply.

I would recommend item # 2201. If you look at the installation pictures in the link below they show this item with a 3.5" Strange drive shaft connected to an S60 with Kooks ORY. The ARH should be very similar... it might not hurt to crawl under the car to be sure the clearance is there.

www.umiperformance.com/2201

I hope this helps!

Rob,

Glad to help you. You should have a 3" drive shaft. I don't think Strange offers a 3.5". They made one for me so we could use it for proto-type use, otherwise I would have gone with a 3" as well.

For 3" duals you are most likely going to have to go with a torque arm and torque arm relocation kit. The torque arm part # is 2205 and the relocation part # is 2207 or 2208 depending on your transmission. Here is a picture of this set up with duals- HERE

Will the p/n 2208 still give me room to put a dsl in then?

Yes, #2208 replaces your transmission crossmember. A drive shaft loop would bolt behind this item in the tunnel area.

I hope that helps!

Couldn't I just use the 2201 and run the pipe underneath it all?

If you don't already have the exhaust made then yes you could run underneath it or on the outsides of it. What we would suggest is to install the torque arm and have the exhaust built around it.

I hope that helps,
Ryan
