Calling all sponsors...FAST 102 STB
I have a 2000 Trans Am with a FAST102 intake. I also have Spohn Solid Motor Mounts and K-Member, so I think the motor sits a little higher than normal.
My BMR V6 STB and my friend's LS1 STB do not clear the intake by a good inch to two inches. I even tried putting spacers (three inch studs in place of the stockers) on the studs and the STB still doesn't clear...at this point, the holes in the STBs don't line up with the bolts.
Now to the real point...if any company is looking for a donor car, I am more than willing to loan my car out to get this product made. I absolutely loved my STB solely for the looks (not trying to start an argument over the usefulness, or lack-there-of).
Let me know what I need to do (take measurements) or where to drive in order to have someone take a look at this.

It would have to go in front of the cowl since there is virtually no space between the cowl and intake. And it would have to sit so high that I'm not sure it would clear the hood.
Maybe if it was the normal circular tubing like most normal STBs and then above the intake/in front of the cowl it went to a flat piece of metal..? I don't know. There is a market for it no doubt.

Yeah man the Hotchkis bar was made for the additional clearance. Don't take my word 100% without either talking with someone on the forums or calling up Hotchkis, but it should work for you

That is a pretty big difference even between just the two FAST intakes, wow. Still though, call up Hotchkis and see if they can provide a measurement for you. Hope it works out, that would be the easiest way to go if it does!

Pretty big clearance between the two bars though, looks like it would be enough...

There is no current STB on the market that will clear it.
I was one of the first that bought a FAST 102, I had it ported blah blah blah.. Then sold it because for the gains, I would rather a 92. Just me, not trying to start a debate just isn't worth the extra frustration that comes with the intake.
