outer rotor surfaces wore down to ventilation ribs

They look okay to me...they've got at least another 50-60k miles left before they're worn all the way down.

so did you get them turned or what



ive only seen them like that when a
caliper has locked up

I think it's too late for turning..............maybe blanchard grinding!!

not MY brakes. Retired and work part time at a muffler/brake shop. Plymouth voyager was brought in cause the brakes didn't feel right,rears were OK.

...Wait wait wait. Where I live (Virginia) you have to have your car inspected every year. I'm guessing Ohio also has some kind of safety inspection... how the hell did those rotors pass inspection?

Don't see how she drove on em that long. I've been broke as **** before and drove my '95 dodge truck for months grinding, drove it till it literally would not stop and only 1/4 to 1/2 of my rotor looked like that where the ventilation ribs where worn and showing.

You guess wrong. Ohio doesn't require any type of vehicle safety inspection (at least not where I live) - the most I've had done is them verifying the VIN and mileage on the car.

My sister let her brakes go almost to that point one time on an old Sundance POS. First I had heard of it was the complaint that "her brakes started making noise a little bit ago". Oh, no inspections here in MI either.
