Painted my calipers...
I installed brakemotive drilled and slotted rotors last september and drove with them for about a month or so before i put the camaro away for the winter. Got her out a few weeks ago....took the brakes apart painted the calipers this past saturday and now on my way home from work today, everytime i put light pressure on the brake pedal there is a high pitched squeal and it goes away when more pressure is applied. The pads and rotors are practically brand new. Is this normal???

I would check the brake caliper guide pin bolts, make sure they are not loose and torque to 23ft lbs pounds. Go and check the caliper mounting bracket as well, torque to 74ft lbs. Then try a few hard stops from moderate speed, should bed those pads in.

Not sure what you guys are referring to as lube.. but I only put the synthetic brake caliper grease on the caliper guide pins. I don't use anything at any other location.
Some people use that blue or red disc brake quiet stuff which is essentially like liquid rubber. I heard a few posts in the past that convinced me that I won't ever use that stuff. Unless it's spread perfectly evenly (which is close to impossible), that will cause uneven force between the calipers, pads, and rotors. From then on I decided not to mess with that stuff and just toss in the pads.. direct contact with the calipers. I get a very small squeaking but I use Hawk DTC-30's which are a semi track pad.

Not sure if you are talking about the metal shims where the pads slide in the bracket.. but you don't need any lubricant here either. Just replace them every now and then. Make sure you don't get any of it on the rotors while you are at it.. you don't really want to those greased up.
