I'm Afraid of My Car
I think my SS out performs its tires. This car is so level in corners it's incredable. I push it a little more every time I drive and to day I almost rolled. I was ****** scared to death. I think I need different wheels and tires. I can hear the tires starting to go. What would you all suggest. I'm using the stock 17'" SS wheels.

What tires is the OP on? The best rated tire EVER by Consumer Reports (90 of 100; NT 05 only got a 78 of 100!) is the Michelin Pilot Super Sport -- but you need to graduate to 18" wheels for them on F-Bodies to get 275/35/18. If staying with 17", might want to go with BFG g-Force Sport COMP-2 -- they are also made by Michelin since they're owned by them, and have some similar properties to the Michelin PSS, although not yet rated by CR until this fall update…
Are your SFCs welded? If not, that can further help with rigidity and tracking on your 'Vert.
Looks like you have most all the right stuff, except if you have poly bushings in any place other than the sway bar applications, I would consider replacing them for better articulation…
Don't do anything stupid, and slow it down when you feel unstable. A roll bar would be a wise investment considering this thread topic -- I added a Wolfe 4-pt to my 'Vert (to participate in HPDEs) -- it further stiffened the chassis as well.

Nittos NT-05's suck I ran 315/35/17 on all four corners for a bit. You shouldn't really fool around on the street some tires give out without any notice then your gone and your car is gone too. Go buy some Hoosiers or Kuhmo V710's and go AX.

My experience with Nt-05s was brief and mostly from a track perspective.

I would take that CS report with a couple big grains of salt. The NT-05 was gradded on treadwear and hyroplane resistance. That tire is a shallow tread depth, 200 treadwear, max performance summer street tire. It is not designed to perfrom at **** best in those two tests. It is designed for big lateral grip in warm dry conditions. I drove mine in the rain the other day. It was acceptable, but I knew not to expect too much out of them.

The Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec tires got the same 78 of 100 that the NT 05 received from CR, but better dry handling than the NT 05. Both are rated the same for wet handling and hydroplaning, with the NT 05 being better for wet braking. Direzza is slightly better for tread life too.
